Chapter 32: We will never speak of this, Ever

That night we all went to bed with strange mindsets. Lillian, questioning her life and the control she had over it; Dayan daydreaming about a wonderful future with her chosen partner and the future children she would have to preserve her family line, and I, imagining what my life would've been like with Drake.

What we would've done for our wedding; Where we would have lived; our honeymoon; what our children would have looked like; What we would've named them...

Needless to say, only one of us woke up refreshed and ready to face the day, and it wasn't me.

After I bathed and got dressed in the silk navy breeches and...a see-through long-sleeved shirt that is tied together at the neck in the front, leaving the center of my chest bare. I am very uncomfortable, Ladies. I now know for certain that Lillian picked out the outfit the palace oh so graciously provided me. I met up with Lillian, Dayan, and...the other girls.

I know their names. Yes, I do...It's just eluding me at this moment.

We're...friends! Of course, I know their names.

Dayan was wearing a long and flowing blue gown that shimmered in the sun, making her startling Yellow eyes glow etherial-like.

Not to be outdone by her betters (I'm kidding, Lillian!) Lillian was dressed in this beautiful green gown like you'd see royalty wear in those old period pieces on the telly, and this insane work of art she calls a headpiece on her head.

The other girls (I know their names, damnit!) were in similar ensembles, but they ALL paled in comparison to my beauty. Am I lying? Probably, but they did all get speechless when I walked in. But that may have to do with seeing me in form-fitting clothing for the first time. I swear I heard a redhead in the corner whisper to another girl, "...not fat...", but I shall believe it was simply a bout of bad hearing.

Alright, I don't know their names.

I might be a bad friend to these women I've known for less than two days.

Oh well.

I'll learn them discreetly from Dayan later.

And her blindingly yellow eyes, so much like drake's, will bore into me with an, "Are you being serious?" Look and I'll laugh, simply because she'll still tell me all the while making small quips about my intelligence, just like Drake.

Goddess, I miss him.
