Emmerett strolled past the many doors of the base clutching what little belongings he had left. Almost everyone was gone, dead with the war. A pang of guilt hit his chest, he was one of the only survivors left. He stopped at the open doorway of what used to be the welcoming entrance of the cafeteria. He glanced around at the tables littered with ash and weapons. He closed his eyes recalling the loud conversations and laughter that used to ring through the large corridor. How he used to crack jokes with his friends at a table that now seated weapons. The thoughts made him feel nauseous and he continued to walk. He dodged bits of broken glass. And entered the living corridor hallway. He tripped over a broken computer and winced. He looked down ready to angrily kick it out of the way, but his eyes found a picture at the tip of his shoe. He picked it up. The small piece of paper showed nova, Carly and what looked like audrey happily smiling together in a colorful garden. In red letters at the top of the picture wrote " first garden of Meridianna Kingdom" this must have been Audrey's. Emmerett thought, pocketing the photo. He remembered the silver haired woman. People said she couldn't die, as she was a totem. But that turned out to be incorrect. She sacrificed herself to end the war between rising sun and falling moon, and now she was gone with the rest He continued to walk remembering the business of the hallway; it was now a cold eerie hallway. The next door he passed made his heart hurt. A sign on the door alerted " Enrique's room" emmerett hesitated before pushing the door open. He stepped into the room and stood, an emotionless expression on his face. He looked around. It was as if he had never left, except from the ash that coated the floor. He strode over to the corner of the room and picked Enrique's sweater off the back of a chair.. he slipped the dark sweater over his shoulder and remembered his brother's smile. Why did so many people have to die!? He threw himself into his brother's old bed and began to sob curling up into a ball. Oliver watched from the shadows but stood quiet, as he didn't know how to approach his lover.
