After a disappointing loss last night, the Hershey Grizzlies return to Giant Center to play the Penn State Nittany Lions in the weekend series finale today. With 15:59 left in the first period, Taylor Holstrom scored to make it 1-0 Penn State. With 1:40 left in the first period, David Goodwin scored to make it 2-0 Penn State. Jackson Ruby and Matthew Skoff matched zeros for the remainder of the period so, 2-0 Nittany Lions it remains heading to the second period. With 18:11 left in the second period, Jonathan Milley scored to make it 3-0 Penn State. Hershey Coach Zak City pulled Jackson Ruby out of the net and so, Harry Reinhardt will man the Grizzlies net for the remainder of the game. With 12:40 left in the second period, Max Galajda scored to make it 3-1 Nittany Lions. With 8:33 left in the second period, Kenny Brooks scored to make it 4-1 Penn State. With 7:15 left in the second period, Willard Kessel scored to make it 4-2 Nittany Lions. Reinhardt and Skoff matched zeros for the remainder of the period so, 4-2 Penn State it stands heading to the third period. With 10:14 left in the third period, Max Galajda scored to make it 4-3 Nittany Lions. With 2:07 left in the third period, Derrick Vaughan scored to tie the game 4-4. Reinhardt and Skoff matched zeros for the remainder of the period so, we'll play extra hockey because we are tied 4-4 as we'll head to overtime. With 2:12 left in overtime, Chris Motte scored to win the game for the Grizzlies 5-4! Hershey improved to 1-1-0 on the season!
