Also after the season ended, Hershey incoming senior Derrick Vaughan announced that he was signing a tryout contract with the Utica Comets. The Comets are the AHL affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks and Coach City believes he has the talent to make the cut. Coach City said "I'm incredibly proud of Derrick for making this life changing decision and I wish him nothing but the best in his professional hockey endeavors." Vaughan was a key contributor to this Hershey Grizzlies team by distributing the puck and also scoring goals that were key to each of the five Hershey wins. Good luck Derrick and go Grizz!!
