Yeji's POV

I woke up to Ryujin snoring quietly while laying on her back, spread out like a starfish. My heart started beating fast in excitement as I realized she was going to stay here for good. Unless she gets called in again.

Ryujin didn't look at peace when she was sleeping and I hope that would change soon. I lied on my stomach and moved my hand to gently brush a strand of her hair behind her ear but her eyes shot open as soon as I touched her. She gasped and started breathing heavily, looking at me with big eyes.

"It's just me, baby." I cupped the side of her face, brushing my thumb along her cheekbone. Ryujin exhaled in relief and put her trembling hand on top of mine. "It's okay. You're home. You're safe." I whispered softly, looking into her eyes that were filled with distress.

"I didn't mean to scare you like that."

"No, it's fine. It's not your fault." She mumbled back, softly kissing my palm before looking at me with a smile. "I'm just glad it's you." Ryujin sat up, grunting a little. I lied my head in her lap and grabbed her hand, playing with her fingers.

"Breakfast?" I looked up at her and Ryujin nodded, waiting for me to move so she could get up too. "I'm going to brush my teeth." She got up and walked towards the bathroom. "But you can brush after we eat." I shouted, watching her go in the bathroom. Ryujin smiled and poked her head out. "But I want to kiss you."

I blushed a little and quickly walked downstairs, my heart racing in my chest. "I saw you blushing!" Ryujin yelled mischievously, pumping her fists in the air. I only blushed more, shutting the door of the hallway and walked into the kitchen.

Ryujin got downstairs too short after and hugged me from behind. "What are you making?" She whispered, kissing my shoulder before getting on her tippy toes to try and look over my shoulder. An excited squeal left her lips when she saw that I was preparing batter for pancakes.

I smiled softly and turned around to face her. Butterflies raided my stomach and I couldn't help but giggle. Ryujin leaned in and kissed me softly, cupping my cheek. I shivered at her touch, grabbing the counter to hold on to.

Ryujin pressed her lips to mine again giggling softly as her heart started beating so loudly I also could hear it. "You make me so excited." She whispered, pecking my lips before sitting on the counter. I gently patted her thighs. "Get off."

"No." She swung her legs back and forth, smiling like an idiot. I couldn't help but smile too and grabbed her hand, gently pressing my lips to the scar on it. "What happened?" I looked up at her, seeing that the small sparkle in her eyes faded as soon as she looked at the scar herself, pulling her hand away.

"It's nasty." She looked down, turning a little pale. I cupped her cheek and grabbed her hand. "It's not nasty, it's pretty. Now, tell me how you got it." I smiled, receiving a small smile back.

"I was reloading my gun and dragged my hand along barbed wire on accident." She mumbled, before forcing a smile and looking at my face. "It's okay though."

I kissed her lips softly and grabbed her waist, giving it a light squeeze. "I'm so sorry, baby. I promise that I'll listen to every story you've got to tell me and I promise that I won't judge any of them. Unless you shared one toothbrush with multiple people but that's another story."

Ryujin sighed softly in content and leaned forward.

"Would you like to go to therapy? To leave all the trauma behind. Don't worry about the money, I promise you. I don't want to brag but I'm quite rich now." I wiggled my brows playfully, making Ryujin laugh softly. "No, but seriously. Would you like to have an extra outlet? I don't know if I'd be a good therapist. I would not know how to respond to some things."
