Angsty, fluff
_____
Ryujin's POVI stepped out of the taxi and handed the driver some money before he drove off, leaving me in front of a big building. This is the day I've been thinking about the past one and a half years but actually feared. I got a sudden message from the General saying that I had to deploy. I went to war for that one and a half year, leaving Yeji without any word.
I wasn't allowed to say anything.
She debuted a week after I went to war and I couldn't have been more happy for her. I heard that she got big with her group, already in the Top 5 of some charts while they just began their big journey.
Seeing Yeji after such a long time would be great if I had told her what was going on, at least just one word. But instead of exciting it was killing. I knew she would be mad and she was every reason to.
I walked into the company, still in my uniform. Some people eyed me weirdly, seeing a girl in a military suit and hair cut short wasn't that common here I guess. I walked up to the receptionist and waved my shaky hand slightly, trying to catch her attention.
"How can I help you?" She asked, looking me up and down weirdly before smiling. "U-Uh, I'm here for Hwang Yeji." I managed to get out, making the woman laugh softly. "Sorry, that's not possible. That's not someone you can pay a visit to like a normal person."
I frowned slightly, feeling my heart drop. It made sense, I was a nobody compared to my own girlfriend now. If she still is my girlfriend, not someone else's.
"Well, thank you." I tried to smile but quickly felt tears stinging my eyes. I glanced at my watch, sighing softly. Was I ever going to see her again?
It was already 10 PM and I let out another sigh. I didn't know where to go. The house that we used to live in wasn't probably our house anymore so I had nothing to look for there. I think that staying at the war gave me a better feeling than this.
I looked around the main hall, amazed by the architecture and the modern, rich look. But then I heard a familiar voice coming from a distance, along with some others. Was it her?
I turned my head and couldn't believe my eyes. Would she still recognize me? My hair was a little shorter than shoulder length and I was a lot skinnier than when she last saw me. There wasn't a lot of food at the battlefield and we ran around much so losing weight was incredibly easy.
I stood there, taking my cap off slowly before holding it with both my hands, deciding that it would be probably for the best before my awkward hands did something else.
I got a glance of the other girls too. They all looked really pretty but Yeji was the most outstanding. Even prettier than before but still quite the same.
They made their was towards the head entrance, ready to go home after a long and exhausting day. There were 3 men walking with them, probably bodyguards or managers. Their voices were loud and clear. There was absolutely no one in the fancy looking hall besides me and the receptionist.
I watched the four girls walk my way slowly, laughing whilst talking with each other excitedly. They all wore expensive looking clothes and designer shoes. The men followed the girls, talking quietly not to interrupt them.
They were just a few feet away when I cleared my throat. "Y-Yeji?"
She froze. Yeji completely stopped and so did the other girls. They looked at Yeji confused before looking at me and then back at Yeji. I just stood there, feeling like a poor old man between rich young girls while holding my cap awkwardly.
My eyes met Yeji's and she teared up, storming of at me. Just as I thought she would hug me I got a hard slap across the face. "You asshole!" She growled, pushing me towards the wall. I dodged some of her hits, but stopped when I realized that it wasn't helping at all.
