16 [Talk It Out]

We parked up in front of the mansion, I could already see who was here just by the cars outside. Ace wrapped his arm around my waist as he and I walked up to the house, opening up the door I was slammed into a hug by Luffy first which almost knocked me over but Ace was there to catch me.

"You scared us to death" Sabo spoke when he and Koala came up to me and Luffy.

"I'm sorry, really am" I said with a small smile of sorry as Luffy let go of me from his death grip hug.

"You better be" Nami said next placing her hands on her hips as everyone else were surrounding me with worry looks.

"I know letting you guys worry wasn't the best move on my part and I am real- Ah!" I felt so bad knowing I made them feel like this, but I couldn't finish what I wanted to say before I was picked up by Heat.

Seeing Killer with his arms crossed along with Kid and Wire I could tell they weren't pleased with the stunt I pulled. Having a blood brother and three other brother's sometimes was a bit of a handful sometimes.

"How sorry are you?" Killer asked knowing that tone something was going to happen .

"I am really sorry" I said in a mousy voice not wanting any kind of prank punishment to happen to me.

But with Heat being so tall, I was suddenly carried upside down which made me shriek; holding my blonde hair. Everyone was in on this when Robin placed a bucket under me which made my eyes widen.

"What's that?" I asked looking around looking for any help but Ace wasn't going to move, seeing him smirk. Even he was in on this too.

"Hair dye and its pink" Nami smirked evilly at me knowing I wasn't fond of the color pink.

"No, no, no anything but that" I said trying to let go of my long hair.

"then promise never to do it again" Killer said as Heat slightly lowered me which made me shriek again trying to hold a laugh back.

"I promise! I triple screws and bolts that I will never do it again!" I frantically using the words we used as kids to know we would keep that promise forever.

Heat lifted me back up placing me on my feet, I had to hold my head for a moment before Killer, Heat, Kid and Wire brought me in our family hugs that made me smile warmly at my little family.

"If you guys are done terrorizing her, dinner is ready" the voice of Thatch called out to all of us giving off a chuckle since we were being loud.

We all smiled as we headed to the dining room to have dinner together; which was just chaos like always. Nothing but smiles and laughs as I watched everyone enjoy each other's company; since Ace knew something was bothering me he always made sure I was laughing and smiling. That was always his goal whenever I was feeling down about something and I'm glad he always did that.

After dinner was over I was sitting on the stairs just outside the large porch where everyone was; they were playing video games seeing who the best at killing zombies were. Even with all the friends around I still didn't know what to do with my father; I honestly didn't know what to do. I felt a tap on top of my head which made me look seeing Ace behind me, he sat beside me wrapping an arm over my shoulders.

"Do you want to talk about it?" he asked as he looked at me knowing something was wrong.

"Well, I don't know what to do....I found out Shanks is my blood father" I sighed heavily as I just shrugged not knowing what to do.

"Look at it this way, you have something that many of us don't have" Ace said as he pointed back to the party behind us, I couldn't help but raise a brow to him.

"Which is what?" I couldn't help but ask in confusion, what did I have?

Ace couldn't help but chuckle at my face seeing how confused I looked; he always said it looked cute. But to be honest what was he getting at anyways?

"You have a chance, a chance to get to know your father and be around him; even if you were around him already you only know him as the principle but you don't know him as your father. I never knew either of my parents, all I know that my father was a big gang leader no one good. But you, you have the chance to get to know your real father" Ace explained as he looked at me explaining a little bit about what I was able to do. I never looked at like that before and it made me think about it.

"Maybe talking to him won't hurt" I smiled a bit knowing Ace was right about it.

Ace smiled at me giving me a kiss on my forehead before the sound of the back door opened and closed behind us. Which made our attention turn to who came out, surprised that it was S- my dad. Pops must have called him over to come over and see me. Ace stood up heading back inside to leave us to talk alone.

Shanks sat next to me having things be a little tense right about now. But that was changed when Shanks chuckled a bit which made me raise a brow.

"You know this is what your mom would do, sit outside over thinking things and Makino would go out to talk to her" Shanks explained as he looked at me which made me smile hearing that.

"Guess I'm a good mix between you both" I chuckled myself which made him smile again.

"I know that we should have told you and I wanted to be there for you I really did. But your mother didn't want me giving up on school after I got out of the gang crew, so we made the choice not say anything; but when thing's changed I didn't know what to do when your mother passed" he explained as he clasped his hands together giving out a sigh when I looked down knowing that sad day.

"Did you love my mother in anyway?" I couldn't help but ask when I glanced at him again.

"I did, nothing happened when she got involved with Killer's father back in high school. But when I saw her again things went back to how it was and then  when I was over seas, I got that letter seeing your bright smile made me feel proud. Knowing that my little girl is going to grow up strong and special, I hope you can give me a chance" he said with a gentle smile on his face, remembering back to those old days when my mother was still around; before placing a hand on my shoulder seeing hope in his eyes.

"It'll take a while until I call you dad" I smiled which made him smile bigger as he chuckled.

"I can wait for that kiddo" he said before bringing me into a hug that I returned with a bright smile. Thing's might be rocky now but at least I know thing's were going to be better now that everything; turned out okay in the end.
