"You never showed up after the fireworks, sister, do tell why you had suddenly changed your mind on leaving without informing me..." She looked at me with disdain covering her entire face, "I don't have to explain myself to you but just so you know, I followed Rowan into the woods where he attacked me." She unfolded a piece of paper as my eyes shot to her, my annoyance turning to a keen interest. She waited for me to walk over only to walk over to me holding it up where I could see the drawing properly when I stood in the same spot, not moving any closer or further. "He showed me this, his mothers drawing. He said my arrival will destroy Nevermore. He was telekinetic, past tense, he's dead now. Some kind of monster came from the shadows and saved my life, taking Rowan's."

"Then we'll handle it, later on, for now mother and father have been ringing on and off for an hour, we both know how they wish to speak with you about the acclimation process, even if you say nothing," she huffed pulling the paper away and turning to walk towards her desk before sitting and opening up the crystal ball, only after she hid the drawing and discarded her coat. "We're staying until I can figure out what all of this means," walking over to my deep seated faux leather chair, I sat and looked over at her, somewhat puzzled and lost at her sudden treatment towards me, "what would you have me do?" She ignored me in favor of opening the crystal ball's casing and tapping the sphere as it suddenly began ringing; all in perfect timing.

"Hello, my little black cloud," I heard fathers voice first and the mothers, "ahh Morella dear please come to the crystal ball." I overheard and followed instructions almost instantly, I stood from my seat before the large window and walked over, "so tell us darlings, how was your first week?" I thought for a moment as Wednesday did the same, "I tried cooked potatoes..." Their faces became the embodiment of awe, "and how was it? Did you like it darling?" I looked off to the side, "I enjoyed it, it rather helped my mood even if they were no longer poisonous... Were you aware they don't allow dueling to the death?" Our father tilted his head as our mother looked away in avoidance, "well, I mean of course sweetheart-" I stopped him, "you didn't think to warn me, she was lucky it was only a flesh wound. Death is my favorite part of fencing, I'm quite disappointed almost to a burning degree..."

"I'm sorry my little ghilotină, in retrospect we should have warned you, we know how devious you can be," our mother finished the sentiment though, "but I'm sure you'll find many a thrilling thing at Nevermore dear," I sighed, nodding only to look over at Wednesday as she began to smile, "as much as it pains me to admit, you were right, Mother. I think I'm going to love it here."
