Leaning over to Kent I whisper, "I think I should like to leave... There is a lake nearby, yes?"

Kent tenses but grabs my hand and nods, "You wanna go for a swim baby?" He grins, turning his head against mine, foreheads meeting.

"Mmm," I hum, nodding against him, "I'd like to be elsewhere, anything is preferred over being here listening to this dreadful wolf sing along song..."

Kent clicks and pulls at my hand as he stands up, shifting a leg over the log so we could leave, multiple sets of eyes locking onto us.

"Ah, miss feathertail, are you going to lead us into the next song?" I pause at Dort's voice. I don't hesitate, looking back over my shoulder as I step over the log to follow my siren, "No, your music is distasteful."

Turning back I ignore the look on his face and Enid's extremely clear scoff from the other side of the fire, Bruno watching cautiously as he lightly strums his guitar strings.

Holding Kent's hand I tug him along, walking away from the fiery gathering with a quick stride. Kent of course changes the pace and tugs back, pulling me to his side where he steps ahead to take the lead, careful and grinning.

"Trying to get us lost there?" He teases me and I frown, doe like eyes locked on the back of his head as I 'sass' him, "get us lost..."

He laughs, tugging my hand as we make it to the edge of the woods, taking a trail as my train of thought changes and I sigh, relaxing.

"I wonder sometimes," I start to speak, thoughts coming slowly as I observe the way the moon's light filters through the trees and lights up the ground floor, "what it would be like to be human..."

"Why on earth would you ever want that?" Kent asks, looking at me surprised. "Do you not?" I ask, he only shakes his head side to side as his no when I meet his gaze, "...I suppose maybe I just think too far from my mind sometimes." I look forward, "It is not that I want to be one, I just wonder if they feel different...but then I guess everyone feels different than I, no?"

"Nothing wrong with being different, you know that," he says, squeezing my hand softly as I nod and look up towards the trees above us, "I know. I just wonder if they ever feel like we do sometimes, or if everything is softer like it's not coursing through their bodies to get out..."

"Is that how you feel?" He asked me.

"Sometimes, when I get angry or annoyed it's like my entire body is on fire, every single bit inside and out...but it feels good. When I'm on fire I feel everything at once, while I don't know how to describe it necessarily, I quite like the feeling."

"What do you feel right now?" He asks.

"...Right now?" I turn to look at him, feet stopping in the dirt as my head tilts to the left. I blink a few times, registering his question as I look at his face, eyes flickering between his as my head tilts to the right slightly.

Thinking for a moment I let my hand in his tense and relaxed a few times causing his eyes to drop down and look at where we stood, connected with soft palms before looking back up at me.

My free hand fists at my side before uncurling as I feel it, the feeling coursing through my bones, my nerves, the skin of my hands and far beyond their current reach to every part of my being.

Just as I open my mouth to answer it shuts, a noise catching my attention as something moves in the corner of my eye, "What are you two doing here?"

Humming I stare at my sister, "I want to see the waterfalls at night," I reply earning a nod as she looks between us, "Good, I need an alibi, if anyone asks I was here with you two."
