Third person's POV

In the end, the assignment was a success, as well as were other assignments...

Ash was really amused by some points in the assignments of other classmates. That goes for May and for Gary too...

Months flew like a river... Nothing particularly interesting happened...

Dawn, even though she cried during a few nights instead of sleeping, understood why Ash rejected her when he did... He had good points that being a girlfriend of the Aura Guardian comes with a huge risks and potential life threads... it's true that even being a friend is dangerous enough...

After two months or so, Dawn moved on and was talking with Ash like nothing happened before.

As for Serena... She often found herself thinking about Ash and about his diary that she read... Though she was yet to develop proper romantic feelings for the Aura Guardian, she for some reason wanted to be friends with him more than ever before... In other words, she strived for his attention... in a friendly way... Serena was too embarrassed to even think about anything else...

The school year ended, and it was a beginning of the summer holidays, when a message appeared in a group-chat... It was a group-chat of the closest friends from school...

The message was inviting everyone in the group-chat to celebrate the sender's birthday as well as the end of the school year...

Ash was looking forward to the party... because of the first anniversary of their parents' death May wasn't really doing good, and Ash saw the party as a great opportunity to lift May's spirit...

The Aura Guardian didn't know how wrong he could be... Sure, when everybody arrived and the party started, everybody including May had a great time... drinking, playing games, chatting, listening to music, dancing... Everybody had a great time, except for Ash...

When Ash and May arrived at the house where the party was held, and stepped inside... He froze... The Aura Guardian immediately recognized the surroundings despite being here for the first time...

"Oooohhhh... nooo... What the... fuuuuu*king hell... That can't be true..." Ash thought for himself.

A very tight, familiar bracelet appeared on Ash's wrist, choking Ash's left hand... The Aura Guardian felt like the bones in his wrist will be crushed any moment...

"Everything alright?" Serena, who noticed that Ash's in some kind of pain, asked sometime after the party started.

"I'm... ... it's nothing... don't worry about it..." Ash responded.

The bracelet was tight and applied a lot of pressure on Ash's wrist, but it was also imaginary, so the flow of blood wasn't blocked, and others, except for May and Gary, couldn't see it.

Ash endured another hour, but then, with an excuse of drinking a bit too much, went to sit outside...

Some of his friends wanted to follow him and help him... but after seeing that Ash's holding his wrist, May rejected everybody and went to see her brother alone...

"What's happening to you? What is that thing?" May asked, looking at the bracelet.

"It's the same bracelet that allowed me to see the future..." Ash said and groaned in pain. "It appeared as soon as I recognized where we are... May... We're in Giovanni's house..." Ash said and held his head.

May's face turned pale...

"What...?" She wanted to make sure she heard right.

"We're in Giovanni's house, May... This's Giovanni's house..." Ash repeated.
