Fears Of Solitude

As I lightly close my eyes

I try to fall asleep,

I remember us together

And I begin to weep.

As I think of your beauty

And all that you mean to me,

The time that we're apart

Feels like eternity.

Although I know you're waiting

I feel or sad inside,

If ever I'm to lose you

I know that I would die.

As I read your letters over

I cry again and again,

I wipe the tears from my face

And try to hide my pain.

I know you really love me

The distance makes me weep,

So I tightly close my eyes

And I try to fall asleep.
