XXXX. Night to Remember (Abby)

I smiled while remembering our trip sa Zambales. Parang kahapon lang but its actually a week ago na.

"You ready, Love?" I turn to Mavie who's waiting for me. We just finished praticing our last rehearsal before our performance. This would also be our Last dance Performance with the team. It's Sad but we made peace na with the fact na this is our last year.

We'll be performing next week as an intermission number half time ng Basketball game ng school.

"A sec, I'll just fix my stuffs" after that, we headed out na sa school.

"You ready to go home na?" While she got inside sa car. And yeah, i forgot, Mavie's now driving. She got her student license na kasi and also with mine. Kaya pag pagod sya from volleyball practice or game, ako ang nagdadrive. The car's gift daw ng dad nya sakanya. Para di nadaw sya hatidin or mag grab.

"Mahal, how bout we eat out?" I'm doing the doe eyed sa kanya. She still very strict kasi in terms sa paguwi ko ng late baka daw magalit parents ko.

"Love.." No one's backing down.

"Mahal, its been a long time na we had our date. Bahala sayo baka magsawa ako, di mo na ako ginagala"

"Hahaha, ikaw nagpapaguilty ka"
"Sige na nga. Pero message mo muna Mommy mo"

"Mahal" "Love, walang date kung walang paalam"

"Tsk, tiklop ka talaga sa parents ko" she smiled. This is the first na she smiled when talking about my parents. Actually may surprise din ako sakanya.

You see, after we went home from Zambales I promised myself na babawi ako kay Mavie. That's why I gathered all my strength and talk to my parents.

Enough is enough.

--Flashback--

"Mom , Dad" we're at the dinning table eating lunch. i just got back from Zambales couple of hours ago.

"I want to talk about Mavie"

"Abby" saway ni Mommy.
I won't stop.

"Mom-"

"Tama na yan Abby. I don't want to talk about her in my house. Hindi pa ba sapat na we're letting you be? Aalis ka na nag Amsterdam. I hope you'll cut ties once you go abroad na" strained na sabi ni Dad.

I am so done, sa kakasabi nila na i need to break up with Mavie because I won't do that.

"Dad, di pa ba kayo napapagod. We're not in the past. Could you just be happy that I'm happy. Na masaya ako kasi may nagmamahal sakin unconditionally, Dad?. Did you know na I wasn't this kung sa iba pa but she's the one I am in love with and that won't change"

"Lagi nalang bang salot at pagtingin nyo samin ni kuya?"

"Abby iha, don't bring up your kuya" I begun to stand, walang patutunguhan ang paguusap nato kung parati nalang silang ganyan. So close minded.

"Sana in time, matanggap nyo kami. Cause I will not break up with Mavie. She'd shown me love, respect and happiness when all you both showed me what being a daughter I should be so that I fit into your standards. And I've had enough" "May I be excused"

"And I made peace about you both not okay with my relationship"

"Abby!!!" Mommy called me but di nako lumingon.

"Tama na Hon. Huhhhhhh. I don't know want to think anymore. Napalaki ba natin sila ng maayos Francine?" I heard Dad defeatedly asked Mom.

"Hon"...

I really hope in time. They'll accept the fact na time change. Di nalang ang babae ay para sa lalaki and vice versa. Cause if I get to repeat the time, i would do it all again.
