"Are you sure nothing's wrong?" Cade asked.
"Yeah." said Marianna.
As Cade looked at her, he knew that something was wrong.
And, since she wouldn't tell him, he decided to read her mind.
And, when he did, he saw that she was scared.
"Marianna..." said Cade.
"What?" Marianna asked.
"You're scared.
Why?" Cade asked.
"I'm not scared..." said Marianna sounding defensive.
"Yes, you are.
I can read your mind.
And, I know that you're scared." said Cade.
Then Marianna just looked away from him.
And, when she did that, he got closer to her.
Cade then put down the bag he was holding, and, touched Marianna's hand.
As Cade touched her hand, Marianna put down the bag she was holding.
And, as he got closer to her, he put his hand on her face, and, slowly turned her head, so, that she'd look at him.
And, when she looked up at him, she was still scared.
And, Cade wondered why.
"Marianna.
I know that you're scared.
But, I don't know why." said Cade as he was looking at her.
And, as she was looking at him, she knew that he wanted to know why she was scared.
But, she was embarrassed to tell him.
"Please tell me why you're scared." said Cade.
"I'm scared because...
I don't like being in the woods at night...
Or when I'm alone..." said Marianna.
"Why?" Cade asked.
"Because, I'm afraid of the woods...
And, I know that it sounds stupid...
But, I can't help it..." said Marianna as she looked at the ground.
"That's not stupid.
I can understand.

You're scared.
But, you don't have to be." said Cade.
"I know.
But, I...I have my reasons." said Marianna.
Then Cade wondered what her reasons were to be scared.
He then asked...
"Can you tell me why you're scared?" Cade asked.
"Yeah, but, it's not really worth hearing about it." said Marianna.
"Tell me.
I'm sure that it's worth hearing about." said Cade as he slowly turned her head towards him.
"Ok." said Marianna as she was looking at him.
Marianna then told him why she was scared of the woods.
"A long time ago.
When I was little.
My family told me not to play in the woods, in the daytime or at night, because it was dangerous.
But, I didn't want to listen to them.
And, I really didn't believe them either.
I just wanted to do what I wanted to.
So, I would go play in the woods whenever I got the chance to." said Marianna.
And, Cade was listening to her.
"And, since I would go there all the time.
My family wondered where I was going.
So, they followed me.
And, found out where I was going.
And, they were mad at me.
And, again, they told me to stay away from there.
And, I never knew why..." said Marianna.
Cade then wondered why they told her to stay away from the woods.
"So, why did they tell you to stay away from the woods?" Cade asked.
"They told me to stay away...
Because, of the Vampires..." said Marianna.
"Vampires?" said Cade.
"Yeah...
They told me that the Vampires lived in the woods.
And, that if I went in there.
That they would hurt me." said Marianna.

"Then what?" Cade asked.
"Well, I didn't believe them.
So, I just ignored what they said, and, did it anyway.
And, one night.
I had snuck out.
And, I was out playing in the woods.
And, I thought that I was alone.
But, I wasn't.
Someone was watching me." said Marianna.
"Who was watching you?" Cade asked.
"I don't know...
But, I knew that I wasn't alone." said Marianna.
"Then what happened?" Cade wondered.
"After awhile...
I was wanting to leave, and, go home.
And, when I started walking away, someone came out of the shadows.
And, stood there across from me." said Marianna.
"Was this person Human?" Cade asked.
"No, this person wasn't Human." said Marianna.
"How did you know?" Cade wondered.
"Because, if this person was Human.
I would've heard them around me.
And, I didn't hear them at all." said Marianna.
"Then what happened?" said Cade.
"When I saw this person.
He was just standing there across from me.
He was just staring at me.
And, I remember just standing there, wondering why he was there." said Marianna.
And, Cade just listened to her.
"And, as he stood there, I remember being scared.
And, I just had a really bad feeling about him being there.
And, I didn't know why.
But, I just wanted to leave." said Marianna.
"Did you leave?" said Cade.
"I wanted to.
So, I walked away." said Marianna sounding a bit scared again.
