Chapter 1: Six Weeks of Freedom

Stacys' residence

Luke and Gwen were laying in bed, wearing their battle-damaged suits. Gwen had Luke's head embedded in her chest, known to them as the 'kissing position.' She smothered him in kisses as the alarm went off. "I don't want to be a pizza today" Luke said dizzily. He woke up and looked up at the beautiful girl holding him. "Okay" she giggled, "you can be my little burrito." Luke chuckled softly and reached for the remote. He hit the power button and sat up. "So" he sighed, "it's the six-week holiday. What should we do?" Gwen sat up-right and kissed his cheek. "You need to eat" she said softly, "you've fought and haven't eaten." Luke nodded. "Being dead probably didn't help" he laughed. Gwen shook her head and got out of bed. Suddenly, there was a knock on the door. "Gwen, honey, you in there?" Helen asked from the other side. "Uh yeah" Gwen replied, "I'm getting changed." Luke smirked and looked at Gwen. "Okay... I'll be downstairs if you need me" Helen continued, her footsteps fading.

"Getting changed?" Luke chuckled. "What am I supposed to say?" Gwen questioned, "can't exactly tell her about this." She moved her hands over her suit. Luke stood up and held her hands. "Maybe not but at least I'm back so you can rest" he said, kissing her. Gwen smiled and kissed him back. "Right. I'll get dressed, I'll get you something to eat and then we go for a swing? Like the good old days" she suggested, pulling on the zipper on the front of her suit. Luke turned around and covered his eyes with his webbed red glove. A few minutes later, Gwen tapped him on the shoulder. Luke turned back and saw her wearing a black button-up shirt with a purple skirt and black tights. She finally pushed her iconic dark hairband into her golden hair and set it behind her ears. "So beautiful!" Luke whispered, kissing her hand like a Medieval warrior. Gwen chuckled, "you sit down while I get you some food, sweetie." Luke saluted before laying back on the bed and flipping through the TV's interface.

A few minutes pass before Gwen returns with a tray supporting a bowl of Luke's favourite cereal, Choco hoops. "Ah Gwen. You truly know me" Luke said with a smile. Gwen placed the tray over his lap and sat next to him. "How are you?" she asked, "you seemed to be a bit weak from the fight." Luke tilted his head a bit. "Spider sense is a bit iffy" he replied, "goes off when there's no danger. Should go back to normal soon." Gwen kissed his cheek. "Well, I'll be here until you get better" she smiled. "The world needs me though" Luke stated, "there are still criminals out there that you can't take down." Gwen nodded and rubbed his webbed boot.

After finishing his breakfast, Luke put the tray to the side and stood up. He walked over to a set of drawers and picked up a small metallic yellow spider. He held it up to show the device to Gwen. "Might as well take this to the Stark building nearby" he said, "we won't need the help of Iron-Spider any time soon." He walked back to the beautiful girl on his bed. "Mind if I put it in your bag?" he asked. Gwen nodded, pulled her handbag onto the bed, and opened it. Luke put the armour into a small section and closed the bag. He grabbed his mask from the bed-side table and pulled it over his face. "My Spider-Boy is back" Gwen chuckled, wrapping her arms around his neck, "Let's go!" Luke climbed the wall and through the narrow window, barely enough room for them both.

Chapter 2: Spider-Man's Back!

The sizzling sun shone onto the red and blue of Spider-Man's suit, appearing as a dark orange. The morning light made Gwen's heavenly hair almost ginger as it flew gracefully through the air. Spidey released the webline behind them and jerked his arm forward. A fresh web was fired from the mechanical webshooter hidden under his sleeve. "I don't know how you swing so well" Gwen chuckled, "I'll never be this good." She smiled and kissed his webbed mask. Luke giggled, "with enough practice, you could be." He released another line and shot a new one. Gwen tightened her grip and smiled. "I'm glad you're back" she said. The hero landed on an open random roof.
