Chapter 3: Don't Tell Anyone

Later at midnight Marty was awoken by the sound of his telephone ringing.

He picked it up, "Yeah?"

"Marty! Did you fall asleep?" Doc said, clearly not caring if anybody heard him on the line.

"No." Marty said as he stretched. "Haven't slept a wink."

"All right. Well, I forgot my video camera. Could you bring it when you come by?"

"Yeah, Doc. Sure thing."

"Good, and remember! 1:15!"

Then the call ended.

Marty quickly got out of bed and started getting dressed.

He stopped as he heard a noise in the hallway.

A small figure emerged from the doorframe.

Marty narrowed his eyes.

"Judy?!" He exclaimed, clamping a hand over his mouth, remembering that everyone was asleep.

Well, almost everyone.

"What are you doing up?" He whispered.

"I couldn't sleep." Judy rubbed her eyes tiredly.

She squinted her face, "What are you doing?"

"Uh...nothing."

"Nothing?"

Marty crossed his arms, "Yeah, nothing. So, why don't you just go on back to sleep."

Judy climbed up onto his bed.

"No."

She watched as Marty stuffed his backpack full.

"Where are you going? You look like you're going somewhere."

Marty grabbed his red vest and slipped it on.

"That's none of your business, kiddo."

Judy prodded further, "Can I go with you?"

Her brother stopped in his tracks, "Are you kidding? No way!"

"Besides, don't you have some My Little Ponies to play with?"

"No, and besides, it's way past their bedtime."

Marty rolled his eyes and turned around, "Of course it is."

Judy stomped her small foot on the bed.

"Look, Marty. If you don't let me come with you, I'll tell Mom and Dad!"

He stopped.

She did not just pull that card.

Marty turned back to his sister, letting out a sigh.

"Alright, if I let you come, you can't tell anyone. No one can know about this."

He extended his hand, "Deal?"

Judy held out her hand and shook, "Deal."

"Good, now go get dressed. And make sure to bundle up, it's cold out there tonight."
