Chapter 4: Back To The Past

Oh man, it really is cold out here!

Marty struggled to keep his eyes open, the cold air practically smacking him in the face as he went down the road on his skateboard, his sister firmly in his arms.

Judy clung tightly to his neck, her small ponytail trailing behind.

Soon, the two arrived at the Twin Pines Mall, seeing Doc's truck in the lit up parking lot.

Marty stopped and got off his skateboard, putting his sister down.

They found Einstein sitting in the middle of the lot.

"Hey, buddy. Is Doc here?" Marty pet the dog's head, Judy mimicking his gestures.

He looked around, then he heard Doc's voice from inside the truck.

"Marty! Is that you?"

"Yeah!"

"Do me a favor and start recording!"

"Ok, Doc!"

The back of the truck opened, and a DeLorean emerged from inside.

Marty and Judy watched in awe.

It stopped beside them, and Doc soon came out.

"Well! What do you think?"

Marty scratched his head, "Uh, I think it's a DeLorean."

"Yes, but it's also a time machine!"

"Get outta here! You're not serious!"

"Yes, I am."

How is that possible? I've gotta ask!

But someone beat him to it.

"How does it work?" Judy asked, coming out from behind Marty.

It was at this moment that Doc realized Marty wasn't alone.

"Great Scott! Who is this?!" He exclaimed.

Now I'm really in for it!

"Uh, Doc...this is my little sister, Judy McFly."

"And what is she doing here?"

"Trust me Doc, there's a really good explanation for this!"

A pause.

He slumped down guiltily.

"Ok, she was gonna tell my parents."

Doc shook his head, "Marty, my boy, it never pays to keep things from others."

Then he placed a hand on Marty's shoulder, "But in this case, it's for the greater good. Because if your parents, or anyone, found out about this, where would we be?!"

Marty laughed nervously, "I don't think I'd want to know."

He looked over at the DeLorean, "So, how does this thing work?"
