During the day I was working on my report, my co-workers had to leave, and I had to meet with Dearstyne later tonight, around lunchtime I heard a ring from the telephone. I picked it up on the second ring "München Post" I said, greeting the caller.
I recognised the voice "Herr Cohen" she said, "It's Fräulein Müller" she said. She didn't need to say her name, I knew it was her, now for why she rang? Maybe in regard to the meeting? "Have you rang to make good of our agreement? A National Socialist who keeps her word--" I stated "What an oddity you are, Fräulein Müller" I said as a small joke, but there was some truth to it, it wasn't something I expected.
Fräulein Müller spoke in a frustrated tone "Never mind what I am, Herr Cohen. Yes, I'm ready to fulfil my promise, provided you tell me about the dead man's dairy." She said, a little aggressively towards the end, but she seemed to know she was in the wrong.
I thought of a place where we could meet for a second "The Diana Temple, eight o'clock tonight. Come alone or the deal's off" I said sternly. I don't want to risk people finding out.

At 5:50, I was closing the office before Dearstyne called saying that he was planning on jumping on the train tracks when a train comes, the SA were onto him, however, we can find his brother's diary at his apartment.
I was shocked and rushed to Braunes Haus on a streetcar, not wanting to waste time, Fräulein Müller should've finished work once I got there, and Dearstyne should already be dead.
I rushed to Braunes Haus and waited for Fräulein Müller to finish work.

I saw Fräulein Müller unlocking her bike from the rake, I went to her and grabbed her wrist. It looked like she was about to scream "Say nothing" I whispered, so she knows it was me, hopefully, "I'm revising the favour you owe me. You must come with me right now, for we haven't much time" I whispered, slightly rushed. I noticed she had seen the light blue stitching on my navy suit, but she didn't comment "I'm glad you have some sense." I whispered. I took the bike, planning to wheel it, as we might need to use it later; "Most other NSDAP pets would be screaming at the sight of me." I muttered, I had to admit, I did sound slightly rude, but I guess I had nothing to say, I'm not fond of her, but she isn't fond of me either.
She seemed mad at the comment, but kept her mouth shut.

We started to walk while I wheeled the bike between us, I was taught to care for women, and I thought about how I would want my sisters treated. All around us were men in suits, and girls in smart dresses, nearby were a group of young SS men.
I looked at Fräulein Müller and she had turned to me, she seemed slightly uncomfortable, which made sense. But we didn't have time to argue, we didn't have time in our favour.
"We must talk quickly, and there is no time to ask questions, Stefan Dearstyne rang me as I was closing up the München Post office a few minutes ago. He said Röhm and his men were following him, and said he would rather die by his own hands than by theirs. He was using one of the public telephones at the train station, in front of an oncoming train." I explained. I heard her startled grasp but choose not to act on it "Most likely he is already dead. But his brother's dairy is in his apartment, and we must, at all costs, prevent Röhm and his men from finding it. The dairy is the only proof I have that I have that your father was murdered. I need it, and you're going to help me get it" I said sternly.

I noticed she had frozen up, but was still walking, as if she had weight on her ankles "I--I can't" she stuttered, looking uneasy.
She stared at the horse that was getting whipped, she seemed slightly startled. She thought for a few seconds, she swallowed before speaking "I'll do it" she said, she seemed frightened, but she had some determination in her eyes.
I realised she was going to go through with it "Good" I said, now I was getting nervous, we are going to be racing against time, and have to worry about being caught by the SS and SA. I was looking at the SS men in the corner "We must leave straight away. Röhm and his men may be heading toward Dearstyne's apartment even now" I said, I thought of a way to get there quickly, the bike! "Get on the handlebars" I instructed.

She looked nervous but went into the handlebars without a word. I went on the bike, she seemed to have tightened her grip when the bike shifted, probably just to keep her balance.
My arms lightly brushed hers, she was stiff, but didn't move. She twisted to face me, I felt the bike move while she did that, I didn't bother looking at her, so I don't go off the road. I felt her staring at me for several seconds before she turned back to the front. She kept her arms where it was, I was shocked, but didn't care too much at this point.
