I quickly got back to my apartment, Ruth was glaring at me "You can't seriously like the girl. You did it out of pity, surely?" she asked.
I bit back a sigh "Ruth, she's a good person. It wasn't out of pity, it was-- never mind" I cut myself off. I realised I had feelings for her, more than just a friend. I knew it was silly, she was caring, and selfless, strong in her beliefs, open to changed.

"Daniel" she said sternly.
Aaron put his hand on her shoulder "Let him be. Fräulein Müller seems caring enough. I believe she is nice person, and won't tell anyone where we live, or that she was even here" Aaron muttered.
Ruth stormed off into the kitchen and started making dinner, rather aggressively.
Aaron took me to our room "I've lived with her long enough to know she needs her space for now. If something bad were to happen, we should help her out" he said as we went into the room.

We sat on my bed "Daniel, do you like Gretchen? Be honest. Ruth may not like her, but I'm willing to give her a chance. I saw you two in the hall and outside on the curb" Aaron explained.
I sighed "I think. I can't help but worry and care about her. She's beautiful, I'll be honest, she seems to be smart and inclined to learn more" I said.
Aaron chuckled "I thought so, as long as she is nice enough, I guess it's fine, but just be careful" he warned. I nodded.

After an hour we had dinner, Ruth gave me a dark looked "She's gone Ruth, she respected your wishes, that and to get more information for the report" I said.
Ruth gave me a cold look "I guess, but I just can't trust her" Ruth said.
I didn't answer for a few seconds "I guess I don't blame you there, took me a while to like her" I said.
After a few hours we went to bed, I just hoped Gretchen is ok.
