Gabby's POV

January 13th

The moment we stepped into this house and greeted everyone, I begged my grandmother to make me some chocolate tea.

It kind of hurt that she didn't already have it prepared for me.

That and the fact that Justice was fast asleep when we arrived. But the look on his face when he woke up on my chest made it worth it.

Then, he spent the morning showing Jordan all of the plants he's helped my grandmother plant. Just babbling and giggling as if anyone can understand a thing he's saying.

Though Jordan is a lot better at grasping what's he's saying than I am. It's a little frustrating for Justice and I both.

"Ya guh done all ah di tea, craven gyal?" Sasha walks into the kitchen with her loud mouth, causing me to spill a little of the tea I'm pouring.

"This is only my second cup. Mind your business," I say wiping the mess. She laughs and before she can say another thing, Jordan enters the kitchen.

He's sweating from head to toe and a paper towel is the first thing he grabs when he enters. He wipes his face and then pats the towel against his bare chest.

He's been making use of the equipment I packed in the barrel. Free weights and weighted jump ropes. All for Sasha but this man can't survive without working out. It's an obsession.

An obsession I don't oppose of because the man looks the way he looks.

And his hair. I like it this way. I persuaded him into just getting a line up before this trip and it's grown a good amount since then.

He opens her eyes after wiping them and looks at Sasha and I both.

"What?" he asks and Sasha and I look at each other before laughing. I know she sees what I see.

He shakes his head before coming closer to me. He stands before me looking into my cup before making a face.

"What? It's chocolate tea. Want some?" I ask and he thinks before shaking his head.

He walks over to the fridge before pulling out a bottle of water and leaving the kitchen. Sasha looks at me and makes a face.

"What was that?" she asks and I shrug. But I know she knows what it was. I kept my promise I made him and I showed my ass at the Shenseea concert we attended last night. Good comfort just does something to the soul.

I couldn't help myself even if I wanted to.

Which I didn't.

The girl at the bar didn't even get to me the way he thinks it did. I just wanted to shake him up a little because it's hilarious seeing him nervous. The first time wasn't me, it was the pregnancy hormones and he knows that.

Now, I just needed a scapegoat to act a fool because everyone knows what being here does to me.

I just might've taken it too far.

Now he's giving me a taste of my own medicine with this silent treatment he has going on.

"Oh to be a married couple," Sasha teases and I laugh. He can't play my game better than I can so he'll get over it.

"Say it again," I say to Sasha as I exit the kitchen. Jordan and I are staying in the house next door since my parents are staying with my grandmother and occupying the space we would be.

My uncle allowed us to stay with him being that he'll be in Kingston working majority of the time. I walk out through the front gate, stepping over Missy, our yard dog since childhood.
