SWIPE AND HIT PLAY FOR MUSIC!
Gabby's POV
•€•
January 20th

As soon as I take Justice out of his car seat he wiggles free from my grasp. He thinks he's so grown.

"If you walk, you have to wait and hold my hand, Baby," I tell him and he looks up at me and scrunches his nose. I don't know where he learns these things he does from.

I use my legs to barricade him from the street as I grab the rest of our things. He stands close holding my legs.

Once I have everything, I allow him to grab my fingers with his small hand and walk onto the pavement. He waddles to the studio doors and struggles to open them before Kennedy helps him.

She opens it and he starts giggling like crazy once she scoops him up and starts blowing bubbles into his neck.

"Why aren't you helping your Mama?" She asks him, watching me walk in with nearly half the house in my hands--the same way I usually do.

"Door," he babbles, indicating that his intentions were to help me with the door.

"Okay, nice boy," she smiles at him.

He wiggles free from her arms and runs in the direction of the music--barely runs because although he's walking, he still needs a bit more practice. Kennedy takes the extra bags from my hands. I'm starting to see why Jordan really wanted me to be on vacation.

And I'm kinda regretting not staying longer when he offered to change our tickets.

But I missed my little guy.

Look at him mimicking the girls as they warm up for rehearsal. He's too cute.

I look around my brand-new studio.

A two-story modern design, surrounded with decor to compliment the metallic grey walls Jordan hand painted. That and the murals he has throughout the main room—which go as high as the two stories.

The stairs that spiral down the main floor are my girl's favorite. They never take me seriously when I yell at them through it. Instead, they find pleasure in mimicking my echo.

It makes me miss Maya a lot too because I know they'd drive her crazy because of it, but I know she's taking on her own personal endeavors.

And I'm here whenever she needs me.

I still need to curse her out for not telling me about Jordan's plan. And I need to figure out what I'm getting her for her birthday next week.

"Gabby, Jordan said to call him when you get in," Kennedy draws my attention. I pat my pockets for my phone.

"What could he possibly want and why did he call you?" I ask still searching. I stopped to pick something up and I'm sure he was just waiting on a text saying that I got here okay.

He hates that I still forget but I just got here.

I give up on locating my cell phone and decide to call him back through the studio phone.

He doesn't even give it a chance to ring.

"Gabby?"

"Yes, my love," I answer sarcastically.

"Where's your phone?" he asks and I honestly don't know. Which he'll definitely get on me about.

"Right here," I answer.

"Right where?" he asks and I start heading to the rooms to check on how everyone is working along.

"It's in my purse. If you were calling me, I couldn't hear it," I respond and he chuckles lightly. Like he knows something I don't.
