SWIPE AND HIT PLAY FOR MUSIC!
Gabby's POV
•€•
February 1st

The moment I finish applying my serum, Spotify pauses and my phone begins to vibrate on the counter. The current time reads 1:13am. It's so late, my first instinct is to hit decline.

Then I realize it's Jordan calling again.

"Hello," I secure my towel and answer the call.

"You need to turn your activity off," he says immediately.

"Huh?"

"Your activity status on Instagram. Turn it off," he says.

"Oh," I say in response as I head to Instagram to do just that. "I updated it so it must've changed my settings," I inform him.

"I figured," he says as he switches the call to FaceTime. He always calls mobile and switches the call. He's not really a techy guy but cmon. It's just a phone.

I answer and pucker my lips into the camera as he leans against his headboard and rubs his eyes.

"You could've said it better. You sound so grumpy," I mug into the camera.

"That stuff is serious, Gabby," he says.

"And how do you speak to me isn't?" I query and he sighs.

"It is. I'm sorry," he says before taking a deep breath. One of which I recognize. He's just as disoriented as I am.

So I can't really hold his tone against him. Jordan isn't a people person so this is new for him. It's good but it's new. And I'm sure he feels the same way I do.

I can't function with him so far away. It's actually unhealthy.

But three weeks?

It's a two-hour movie tops. I get that his work is needed but they're keeping him away for so long. He's away for almost an entire month.

"What's up? You can't sleep?" I ask and he shakes his head. I tease him with a coy smile. "I miss you too," I say shyly.

He almost forms a grin.

"Why are you still up?" he asks.

"It's so hot. I got sweaty and needed a cold shower," I tell him while walking out of the bathroom. I hit the bathroom lights before walking into the dimly lit bedroom.

He starts chuckling and I squint my eyes at him before plopping on the bed.

"What's so funny?" I ask.

"You needed the cold shower because you got sweaty?" he asks and I roll my eyes. His mind is constantly in the gutter.

"Like I always say. Full. Of. Shit." I say as I take a sip of my ice water. He groans as I swirl the water in my mouth and swallow.

I look at how intensely he's eyeing me through the camera then I let my eyes wander elsewhere. He's trying to be funny but it isn't. I've already gone two and a half weeks.

My body can't control itself as well as my mind can.

He's making it worse.

"Gabby," he calls and I hum in response. "I can't see you," he says and I tilt the camera down, arching my brows at him with a mischievous grin.

"Is Justice in the room with you?" he asks and I shake my head. He has been every other night but I got in late.

"He was playing with Jade when he fell asleep. She put him in his crib. I wanted to move him but you know if I accidentally wake him, he'd want to stay up with me. I got to see him for two seconds today," I say.
