Yusari's pov

More gunshots were heard in the air and of course, I had to see who was gonna be killed this time.

I saw three guys running down the stairs for their life, and a smile appeared on my face 'God that is so pathetic, no offense.'

The guys separated and left the other one who was older than them.

"Oh, they might actually survive."
Chishiya commented watching the scene fold by as well.
I only nodded watching the killer stand on their floor looking to see if anyone is there, they were lucky enough because the killer left.

"I know those two, they were the ones that gave us judgy looks."
I said glancing at Chishiya.
Those are the males who are searching for a doctor, maybe for a friend because they seem healthy enough.

"Well, they won't last long."
Chishiya spoke up with a smirk on his face.
"Probably."

I noticed the killer on the other floor killing the older guy that was with the group of two friends from before, one thing that caught my attention was the fact that the killer looked up but never saw Chishiya and me.

"Is the mask shortening his sight?"
Chishiya smirked when he heard my question.
"Clever girl."
I felt his hand pat my head, the sudden fire appeared on my cheeks which caused me to turn my gaze toward the killer.

"I'm sure his right hand is his dominant hand, if we find the right door when he's distracted we will be able to survive this without getting hurt."

I explained my theory which was probably right, the killer is tall unfortunately I'm still not able to see how strong he really is. If I use the technique the girl from before used I will be able to hit him and draw him away while Chishiya finds the safe zone.

"Seems like you want a lot of pats today."
Chishiya said as he pat my head while smirking at me, secretly his pats gave me motivation and I'm sure he knew it.

"Who knows?"
I simply responded turning my gaze back to the other floors.

"Everyone!"
I caught a glimpse of the brown-haired guy again, 'Is he crazy?'.

"The tagger is currently at the second level of the central area! The tagger has bad vision because of his mask! Let's inform each other of the tagger location!"
The guy finished yelling, that was smart but I doubt anyone is crazy enough to do that. People are not kind, one of those unkind people is Chishiya and me.

"It's a good idea, but no one will respond."
I looked at Chishiya and nodded at his comment. "Exactly what I thought, people are unkind."

Chishiya tilted his head to the side.
"You're calling us unkind?"
My narrowed eyes met his own,
of course.

"Of course. What? Do you think we're kind and lovely, if we were that shit, then we would respond."
I replied, Chishiya only nodded his head to my reply.

"The tagger is moving from the fourth level of the central area! Anyone nearby run!"

A feminine voice informed everyone who could hear it, and my eyebrows lifted.

"Oh?"
"Really?"

Chishiya and I said in unison, I smiled at the teamwork of the strangers, but it was not enough to touch my heart. I was never the type of person to help others, I help people important to me or those that might be helpful, but that only means I'm using them. I always felt jealous of nice people, they were always the center of attention and it made me furious.

Maybe it was not jealousy, maybe it was because I want to feel something like those people felt. I want to feel the fear and terror they go through, unfortunately, I could only show the emotions on my face but I never felt those emotions.

"She's pretty good."
Chishiya's voice knocked me out of my deep thinking, this happens every time and now I'm used to it.

I looked at Chishiya and then at the direction he was looking at.
I noticed the same girl from before climb onto the upper floor to escape the killer.

"She's amazing."
I grinned before leaning on the half-wall.

I grabbed the phone in my pocket only to see that there were eight minutes left, I sighed tiredly. It was getting annoying to observe these people run and try so hard to survive, honestly, death would be better than the suffering they go through.

"Is it just me or are you as well getting annoyed by these people who are trying so hard to survive?"

Chishiya looked at me with a casual smirk.
"Yeah, I wish these games were hard for me just like they are for them."
His answer caused me to nod my head.

More firing caught my attention, I turned my head to see a man quickly hide behind the wall, looks like he was about to open that door.

I scanned the tagger blasting looks like he was dodging the door. That's extra suspicious.

"That's the safe zone."
Chishiya said.
"Yup."
And I quickly approved.

A minute passed, and my back was on the wall as I sat on the floor. Chishiya informed me that he was gonna tell me when we were gonna be able to open that door, of course, I volunteered to be a distraction while he opens that door but he only responded with a no.

"Shall we begin?"
His voice caught my ears and I quickly stood up, a smirk now plastered on my face.

"We shall."
