Chapter 16

I felt motivated so why not write another chapter?

Yusari's pov

" The playing cards gathered by all the members of Beach are kept in the safe in Hatter's royal suite room. The code for opening the safe is sealed inside the black envelope."
Chishiya explained as we all sat around the table in his room and listened carefully.

We all were really unfamiliar with this because obviously none of us are part of the executives except Chishiya.

I kept my eyes on the table in front of me dumping everything that Chishiya said in my brain.

"The new Number One opens the envelope in front of the executives, but he only sees the code to the safe."

By now I already realized the twist that Chishiya will do.
He's gonna trick Arisu into thinking that the code is something else and he's gonna keep the real code to himself, I'm friends with him for years, and of course, I will know anything he plans on doing.

"Then, he places the paper with the code written on it into a new envelope and seals it again."
Chishiya looks at us to check if we are listening and thankfully we all are.

"First, Arisu will infiltrate the royal suite. Then he will search for the safe, and steal all the playing cards inside."

I looked at Arisu and seeing his stressed face didn't really help me think that he will be able to do it.

Kuina gave me a look that said that she was thinking about the same thing.

I noticed Usagi looking at the two of us so I quickly looked away from Kuina and now to Chishiya.

"What about the passcode?"
Arisu asked looking both at Chishiya and me.
A smile appeared on my lips, I intervened my hands and put my chin on them.

"Chishiya has an idea, and he will tell you when you're in front of the safe."
I stated looking at Arisu.
Chishiya glanced at me before putting a walkie-talkie on the table.

Arisu slightly grinned at Chishiya before saying.
"You're really cautious. I got it."

"You might as well get used to this, believe me, you wouldn't want to be his enemy."
Kuina told the poor guy who got all serious after hearing her sentence.

"Usagi and Kuina will be on the lookout. Yusari will be with me."
Chishiya spoke up.

I heard Usagi sigh, her face showed worry and nervousness.
"This is too dangerous. If we're discovered, we'll get killed."
Usagi remarked, Chishiya only glanced at her with a smirk before looking back at the table.

"Usagi, that's why we have Kuina and you on the lookout. If you two do your part well then no one will get caught."
I smiled at the nervous girl who only kept her gaze on the floor.

Kuina and I silently squealed at Arisu comforting Usagi, we shipped them so hard but sadly we won't be able to see them kiss or anything.

Shortly after Usagi agreed to the plan and everyone sighed silently after silence took over the room.

Third pov

After the meeting in Chishiya's room, the group separated and left for their designed spots.

Chishiya and Yusari were standing on the top floor of the main room, they watched and listened to Niragi telling all the other members of the Beach that Hatter is dead and Aguni will be the next leader.

Kuina and Usagi were on the lookout near the room Arisu has to enter and steal the playing cards.

"Are you sure that this is a good idea? I kind of feel bad for Arisu."
Yusari said leaning on the railing while Chishiya was leaning on the wall with his back.

"I would tell you to go and help them but you know that I wouldn't let you leave. If he's lucky enough he might survive."
Answered Chishiya with a smirk on his face.

Yusari was getting irritated with that smirk and she only knew one way to take it off of his face, the girl stood straight, and quickly after she pulled Chishiya closer to her and kissed him.

For a moment the boy was stunned and didn't know what struck him but quickly after he wrapped his arms around Yusari's waist.
Both of the pulled away but Chishiya didn't remove his hand from Yusari's waist.

"What was that reward for?"
Chishiya asked with a smirk on his face.

"I was trying to wipe that smirk from your face but it seems like it only worsened it."
The girl responded, she looked around making sure that no one is there.

"What if someone sees us?"
She asked looking up at the guy that was taller a couple of inches.

"Nothing, we will continue kissing. They should see that you're already claimed."
Chishiya answered carelessly before connecting their lips once again but the kiss was now heated more than it was before.

Warmth blossomed in their chests when their lips were fully connected. Chishiya's lips were soft against Yusari's which made her kiss him even more, butterflies danced in her chest.
Yusari didn't know what she was doing to Chishiya, her peachy scent drove him insane, and the soft hair that caressed his cheeks made him want to wrap his hands in it and caress it but he knew he couldn't.
They weren't in a great situation for this and both of them knew which is why they pulled away before this escalated to something even more heated.

Yusari relaxed her forehead on Chishiya's and that made them lock their eyes, Yusari noticed how his eyes darkened every time they kissed or did anything related to that. She didn't mind it, he looked even more handsome when he did that.

"Chishiya? Yusari?"
Yusari jumped after hearing the sudden voice coming from Chishiya's walkie-talkie, Chishiya quickly clutched his walkie-talkie and put it up close to his mouth.

"Yes?"

A sigh could be heard on the other side.

"What is going on in the main hall?"
Arisu asked nervously.
Yusari peeked at Niragi who was announcing Hatter's death.

"The new leader is making a speech in the lobby. All executive members and militants are at the annex,"
Chishiya stopped and looked at the girl in front of him who showed nothing but confidence; he then continued.

"we won't get a chance like this."
