Chapter 3: Ami and Quantum's Return

Usagi, Rei, Makoto, Minako, Luna, and Artemis stood outside the airport of their city. Although they were excited about their friend's arrival, there was tension within the group. Usagi hadn't mentioned the entire story yet, so when was she?

They all stood quietly waiting as people passed them going in and out of the airport. They had waited there for quite some time and Usagi's stomach began to rumble. She blushed with embarrassment, trying to avoid eye contact, though everyone was looking at her.

After a giant crowd of people exited the building, a girl with short blue hair with sparkling sapphire eyes wearing a brown skirt, brown boots, and a yellow shirt underneath a blue sweat, carrying a black suitcase stepped out. It was Ami. She looked around until she spotted her friends. She put her hand up waving and they waved back smiling. Ami walked over to her group of friends greeting them one by one.

"Oh Ami-chan how was school?" asked Rei.

"Great," she replied.

"Oh Ami-chan you have to tell about the food in Germany," said Makoto.

"I sure will."

"Oh Ami-chan, were there any cute boys?" asked Minako.

"You're as funny as ever, Minako-san," she avoided the question. She hugged her friend and waved at the cats and stepped towards Usagi, to see how she was doing.

Usagi couldn't look at her best friend in the face and was playing with her hands. Her blonde bangs covered her eyes, and when she revealed them, there were tears of joy. She gave her a great big bear hug.

"OH AMI~~CHAN!!!" she exclaims, "I missed you!"

"I did too Usa-chan," wrapped her arms around Usagi. Everyone else jumped into the hug as well.

"You can't forget us too," said Rei.

They walked along the boulevard talking about Ami's adventures and schooling in Germany.

"Enough about me, min'na, how have you all been? Anything really happen?" she asked. The others looked at each other. Luna nudged Usagi.

"Uh...nothing! Nothing!" Usagi laughed awkwardly and rubbed the back of her head.

"Oh okay then."

"Yeah, it was pretty normal," Rei added.

Minako nudged Usagi, "Why didn't you tell her, it's your responsibility to," she whispered.

"Ami-chan just got back, I don't want her worrying about the situation. I want to slip it in slowly to her," Usagi replied.

"I'm worried to Usagi, but I don't know what going to happen if you don't."

"What are you two doing, come on," said Makoto.

"We're coming!" Minako said and then turned back to Usagi, "I don't want it to come out later when it's too late." Minako caught up with the others. Usagi stood there for a bit.

What if Minako-chan's right?, Usagi thought to herself and then she followed behind Minako. Ami noticed something different about her friends. Something was peculiar, but she didn't bother with it, she hoped it was nothing serious.

They were about to pass the arcade store when Ami noticed it. "Wait, you guys, let's go into the arcade store. It feels like ages since we've been here in a group together."

"You're right Ami-chan, I can't really remember the last we were all here," Makoto agreed with Ami.

"Let's go then," declared Usagi. They all walked into the store. It was still the same as it was and there were so many memories that they shared here. Minako looked around and spotted the Sailor V game.
