Chapter 22: Disappearance Part 1

Sailor Moon picks up Rei's brooch, "No...Rei." She clenched the brooch, trying to hold back the tears and sorrow. Sailor Sun came down from the sky landing in front of the group of girls. She walked over to Sailor Moon.

"What is it?"

Sailor Moon with her head down, opened her hand revealing the brooch. Sailor Sun's eyes widened in surprise and panic. "W-Wait...it can't be...!" She said. "Let me try something. The Sailor's aura is connected to their brooches, if I can channel my energy to get a response from it, then she must still be alive."

"Sailor Sun please," Luna looked up at her with sincerity.

The Sailor Soldier nodded then closed her eyes. She lifted her hand up to brooch. Her body started to glow a yellow-orange color as the brooch was lifted into the air and also glowed but with a scarlet color. She concentrated hard and started to sweat from the strain of the action. The others looked on intensely, hoping that Sailor Sun would feel something, anything. Sailor Sun held out as long as she could, but the brooch fizzled out and dropped to the ground, its color dull. The blonde Sailor panted, "I'm sorry... I...I couldn't sense her aura."

"No Rei," Sailor Moon put her hand over her mouth and stumbled over.

"Sailor Moon!" the girls exclaimed.

"Get a hold of yourself," Jupiter ordered.

"Now is not the time for us to despair," said Pluto.

"We've got to defeat that thin!" Venus huffed as she looked up at the giant beast.

Uranus and Neptune ran off towards the destruction.

"Hey, you guys wait!"

"We can't run off on our own now!" Sailor Sun yelled out. The two Sailors paid no attention to their comrades as they glided through the opposition that was the dark spirits. The bolted around side to side. They used structures and floating debris to vault themselves up to the gigantic dark spirit. Their bodies came parallel to its eyes as they started their offensive assault. "They don't think they can honestly defeat it!" Sailor Sun looked to the others.

"I believe so," said Pluto. With a wave on her Rod in blasted away some spirits who were slowly getting closer, creating some distance between them and spirits.

"Sailor Sun," Sailor Moon called, "let's finish these Ergosphere monster and find Rei. I'm sure she's still alive, out there, she has to be because she's strong. I believe in her and I believe in you..."

"Sailor Moon..."

"...I believe all of us can overcome this together."

Sailor Sun tightened her grip on her staff and grinned. "Yes, you are right. We have to hurry and finish this. I'm tired of this war. I'm not going to let what happened to us in our previous lives happen to us again."

"Let's go!" The Sailors launched their attack. Sailors Jupiter and Venus went off to the west together as Sailor Sun went to the eastern part of the amazement park. The four remaining attacked the area that was heavily concentrated with dark spirits at the center of the park. Sailor Pluto fended off some with her Garnet Rod, smacking them away. She twirled it around, from side to side and above her head. She was fast in all her attacks. "Pluto Cold Detonation!" She shook the ground with this attack and eliminated many.

Saturn did the same. "Silence Glaive!" She held up the weapon. "Saturn Nebula Incarnation!" from her glaive a giant ball of light with blending gases inside formed. It exploded causing a great surge of energy to come through. It made the area misty and purified almost all of the dark spirits still lingering in the area.
