Chapter 5: Confrontation

Dia bowed and looked at Hotaru, Hotaru didn't even know what to say, what to do. It was the girl from her dreams, the one that looked so much like Usagi. Who was this girl exactly? Why is she here? What does she want from us? Dia walked passed Hotaru on the row to the left of her and sat behind the person beside Hotaru.

After school Hotaru, was walking out of the school and stopped when surprised b Haruka who was parked out in front.

"Haruka-san...!" she said.

"Get in kid," Haruka replied opening the door for Hotaru.

Hotaru sat down, closing the door, "Why are you here?"

"We have to talk," Haruka said and drove off.

Hidden by the side of the school, Dia watched the car drive off, she smiled and looked up at the sky. She could see the moon a bit more clearly.

"Soon the crossroads with open," she stated and turned to walk away.

Haruka and Hotaru opened the door to their apartment. Setsuna was walking past the door when they opened it.

"Oh, Haruka-san, Hotaru-chan, you are here."

"Hello, Setsuna-san," said Hotaru, "what is the matter?"

"Come with me." They followed her into the living room where Michiru was resting. Michiru stood up when she saw them.

"Minna-sa-....," she fell back in pain, but Haruka caught her. "Haruka....."

Hotaru looked at Michiru in pain, she couldn't do anything to help her.

"I'm worried about this new enemy....," said Setsuna.

"Quantum...," Haruka gripped her fists still pissed off at him.

"Michiru is still affected by the dark energy," said Hotaru.

"What do you mean?" asked Setsuna.

"It's like an infection, or virus, it won't kill, but it will leave you with spontaneous episodes of weakness and pain in your body."

"This is way bigger than we expected."

"I knew something was up, I felt it. Something unknown to this solar system, something dangerous came into our galaxy. We should have acted upon in quicker," said Haruka.

"It would not be of any help to us, we didn't know where they had entered and they were detected on the radar, so it was futile," said Setsuna.

"I don't care!"

"We cannot be rash about all of this! These beings, the subordinates, are not like the others we fought in the past. Each of them could be as strong or even stronger than Galaxia. We just need to find out how many of them there are, what they want, and who this leader theirs is."

"What do you think their leader is like if they're so strong. We can't even defeat that Quantum guy," said Michiru.

"Don't talk like that," muttered Haruka, her eyes were hidden behind her bangs as she leaned against the wall with her arms crossed.

"It might best if we wait this out for a while," suggested Setsuna.

"What are you talking about! And let people die!"

"People have already been dying! Right now, there isn't a way to stop them!"

"Michiru almost died yesterday! How can you just stand there and act as nothing happened!" the atmosphere in the room became dark and tense.
