The last 8 months had been horrible, Aurora slept with nightmares plaguing her sleep, and every time she woke up she hoped to see Bucky lying beside her, there to give her the reassurance she needed but unfortunately she wasn't and she didn't know how to handle those nightmares that plagued her. She felt everything all over again, she relived everything again and felt all the pain from each horrific incident all over again.

Aurora was currently searching through google to teach Jessie a couple of things, teaching her what she should know and taking out all the fluff that she had learnt but there was all the crap in between. The two girls were watching a movie, Aurora walked to the kitchen to grab some more food for them to eat and started heading back to the couch.

The doorbell rang, and the two girls stared at each other, more than likely they both knew that it wouldn't be someone that they didn't know and that it would be Nick Fury, however, given their circumstances and what they went through they couldn't trust what was happening. Aurora stood about a metre and a half from the door, reading the thoughts of the person on the other side and only detected Nick's thoughts.

"What do you want?" She questioned, opening the door only slightly, he stared at her through the gap blocked by the chain and raised an eyebrow.

"There is someone that you need to meet, someone that will explain the past lives thing. Explain why you can remember the things that you remember. You don't even have to leave the safety of this place, he'll come to you."

"No, you said only you will know about this place, I'm not risking anything else." Aurora went to close the door but Fury stopped it with his foot.

"Have you heard of the Avengers?"

"Yes."

"Have you heard of Thor?"

"The Norse God of Thunder, yeah... I know of him."

"You can trust the man, Miss Williams, I assure you there will be no reason to be afraid of this man. He'll tell you what you didn't know." Aurora nodded, jumping as she saw the man that was obviously very godlike and slowly opened the door.

"You must be Aurora." The brunette nodded, feeling minute compared to the man in front of her, he placed his weapon down on the table and gave a friendly smile to the little girl. Aurora watched as she inspected the weapon, chuckling as he sister tried to lift the hammer but ultimately failed due to its' lore.

"Afraid not little one, you must be worthy to wield it." Aurora watched as Jessie left, giving her sister the privacy and space she needed.

"Aurora, you are incredibly rare, I have not met someone like you before only my father has but I learnt the lore about it for many years. You are the exact same person as you were in the 1940s just reborn as you didn't meet your so-called 'destiny' you died before you were due to die and before you had the life you were meant to have. Your soul was in resting until you were born, you have the memories of the life you lived in the 1940s."

Aurora nodded, rubbing her face as she heard she was the same person from the 1940s, the brunette girl whimpered as the panic started rolling in she paced for a few minutes and turned to Thor to continue.

"You were born with the powers due to the way things went in your first life, things were said that made it possible for you to gain them. Do you remember anything that could lead to that?"

"My partner back then said that I'm a mind reader because I knew him so well and knew when he wasn't okay. Called it a sixth sense of whatever, that's really the only thing I can recall." Aurora explained fiddling with a necklace and occupying herself as she waited for anything else to be said.

"That would be it, due to the nature of the ability to regain your life until you live it."

"So what, until I meet my destiny whenever I die I'll be born again until I do what's 'written' for me to happen?"

"Yes."

"Nice meeting you Thor, that's good to know." Aurora walked away, finding her sister in her bedroom and smiled as she looked at the book she was reading.

"I'm tired, Rory."

"Get some sleep then, we'll finish the movie later." Jessie nodded, preparing herself for bed and hugged her sister before she got comfortable in bed. Aurora walked out, sighing contently as both men had left but a note was left waiting on the table.

Aurora read the note, looking at the small device wrapped with a little bow lying beside it.

I'll call you if I need you, you have to come out of the dark at some point, you'll have to get ready for that moment otherwise you'll be left out to suffer the consequences. The device can't be tracked, your location won't be compromised. I'm sure with your abilities you'll be fine regardless of that.

Aurora sighed looking at the device, took the bow off and scoffed at the nickname he gave himself. She placed it in her pocket, thinking about what Thor said and smiled to herself as an idea popped into her head.

Soulmates

It would be cool if they existed, she wanted to hope that they did exist, as that would mean Bucky was more than likely her soulmate. She felt herself getting teary again at the thought of the man, the emotional damage she felt was not good and she needed to find a way to get over that feeling that hadn't left yet.

The brunette cleaned up, despite her own tiredness growing she didn't want to fall asleep yet and didn't want to face the demons that crawled inside her head begging to gain control and power over the kind heart she carried.

She slowly made her way to her bed, placed herself on her bed and stared at the wall, just needing to motivate herself just that little bit more to get into a lying down position. She finally found it, laid under the covers and felt like she was suffocating as the mattress sunk down slightly with her weight and the marshmallow-like feeling made it harder to focus on one part of her body.
