"Buck! It's starting." He chuckled at her cheer, nodding excitedly with her and turned to see the presentation, Aurora giggled as Bucky intertwined their hands together, Bucky leaned down to kiss her cheek, lingering for a few moments and laughed into his ear as she squirmed away with goosebumps forming after the gush of air that he breathed into her ear.

"Sorry, doll." He soothingly voiced, bringing her into his chest to warm her up and just to have that close sense of intimacy with her and know that she was still with him. Aurora relaxed into his arms, leaning back to watch the show that Howard Stark was performing, she had seen him around at the institution but never actually spoken to him. Bucky held her tightly in his arms, swaying her gently side to side waiting for the opening to finish and for the information to be shared. Aurora hummed as Bucky rested his chin on her head, looking at the stage and chuckling as the girl jumped with excitement as Stark walked on.

"Ladies and gentlemen, Mr Howard Stark!" The man walked in with his theatrics, pecked a girl on the lips, yet cleaned the kiss away after she left. Aurora had yet to discover how she felt about Stark, she didn't know him enough to make the greatest opinion of him but he seemed okay.

"Ladies and gentlemen, what if I told you that in just a few short years, your automobile won't even have to touch the ground at all? With Stark Gravitic Reversion Technology, you'll be able to do just that." The ladies removed the wheels, and the car started floating in the air, Aurora's mouth fell open and she glanced at Bucky hearing his response.

"Holy cow." He mumbled, tugging Aurora closer to him in a subconscious response. Aurora flinched as it crashed down but grinned hearing Bucky's breathy laugh.

"Well, I did say a few years, didn't I?" Bucky intertwined his hand with Aurora's, he turned to the side to speak to Steve but realised he wasn't there, the two shared a look, knowing exactly what was happening.

"That boy," Aurora mumbled, following Bucky to the enlistment centre, he nodded in agreement making sure that Aurora wouldn't get lost in the crowd as he basically dragged her through. Aurora felt bad for the boy, he stood in front of the mirror of the blank soldier trying to see himself fully in the frame but because of his height, it wasn't possible. Bucky playfully shoved the boy, calling him over to leave the building behind.

"Come on, all three of us need one more night together, we don't know how long it will be before we'll all be together."

"It's okay, you two go on, I'll catch up." Aurora sighed, shaking her head at the boy, Bucky frowned at Steve disappointed in his choice of activity for the evening.

"You're really going to do this again?"

"Well, it's a fair. I'm gonna try my luck."

"As who, Steve from Ohio? They'll catch you. Or worse, they'll actually take you."

"Look, I know you don't think I can do this."

"This isn't a back alley, Steve. It's a war."

The two boys started bickering, Aurora close to Bucky's side but managing distance between the two men, she clenched her jaw, sick of hearing the same thing over and again for what felt like years.

"I know it's a war."

"Why are you so keen to fight? There are so many important jobs."

"What do you want me to do? Collect scrap metal in my little red wagon?"

"Yes. Why not?"

"I'm not gonna sit in a factory, Bucky. Come on, there are men laying down their lives. I got no right to do any less than them. That's what you don't understand. This isn't about me."
