Chapter 11:

Nicole's POV:

The rest of that night was pretty much a blur. Between the massive migraines and throwing up every twenty minutes, I honestly couldn’t wait for it to be over. Harry, surprisingly enough, spent the entire night with me in the tiny cramped bathroom. He had text the other boys about the situation, which was embarrassing to the millionth degree, and they agreed to keep and eye on Sienna. Too bad that wasn’t exactly needed, since Sienna had her own tricks up her sleeve, but none of us knew that. It was around 2 a.m. when I finally started feeling a bit better. Well, better as in I could sit up without having to lean back over the toilet again. Harry had taken off his jacket, the bathroom felt like a hundred degrees, and was sitting against the opposite wall with his dress shirt sleeves rolled up to his elbows.  He watched me carefully for a few moments and when he had decided that I was ok, he crawled over, sitting next to me.

“You feeling better?” He said softly. His voice was quiet and weak. He was obviously tired. I felt awful.

“I’m so sorry.” I said softly, looking over at him. He gave me a soft smile, wrapping his arm around me and bringing me close to him.

“Don’t be. That’s what I’m here for.” I couldn’t help but smile as I laid my head on his shoulder, closing my eyes. I was so lucky to have him. I didn't get to say it earlier because he had cut me off, but I think I might be in love with him. I l was in love with popstar Harry Styles. I just needed to find the right time to tell him. I felt him fumble for his phone and he let out a sigh a few seconds later.

“Sienna called me eight times.” He said, sighing. I knew he had to go out there, but I just didn’t want him to. I wanted to be with him, but I knew his career meant the world to him. So he had to go out there.

“Go out there for the rest of the party. I’ll be ok. I’m going to go up to my room in a few minutes anyway,” I said, looking up into his eyes. He was shaking his head, and I continued, “Harry please. Do it for me. They’ll get suspicious if you aren’t at your own girlfriends party. Make up some excuse why you had been MIA, and go have some fun. Do it for me. Please.” I said, trying to sound like I felt better than I actually did. He was quiet for a few moments before leaning down and kissing my forehead softly.

“I’ll have Louis bring you up to my room. I don’t want you staying alone tonight.” I immediately cut him off.

“Harry, I have Sarah.” He shook his head, looking down at me.

“No… please. It’ll make me feel better knowing you’re ok… I’ll be up there in a little bit.” He said, squeezing my hand before getting up.  He had apparently already sent Louis a text because a few moments later there was a knock on the door.

“It’s me.” Louis called and Harry opened the door for him. He looked sadly down at me before turning to Harry.

“It’s alright, I’ll take care of her. Now go… Sienna’s having a fit out there.” He told Harry and Harry sighed, looking down at me for a few seconds. “I’ll be up soon.” He said before turning around and tending to the mess that I had created. I felt awful. I looked up at Louis, who offered me his hand. I took it slowly and he helped me up.  I was a bit wobbly, so it took me a few moments to gather my balance.

“We’ll take it slow.” Louis said softly, taking my hand as we made our way into the deserted hallway. The penthouse sweets had never seemed further away.

            Sarah’s POV:

I couldn’t help but laugh as I took another swig of the beer that had somehow managed to end up in my hand, gently placing a hand on Niall’s shoulder. “ I’m pretty sure that was the worst joke I have ever heard.”  Niall chuckled, grinning back at me, “Then why are you laughing?”

I hadn’t realized it but we had been talking for hours. We had ditched the party about half an hour ago and we were walking down a random hotel hallway. It was pretty empty, due to the fact that it was 2a.m., but whatever. I had loosened up about an hour and a half ago when I had decided to screw it and drink. Yolo, right?

“You know what, I have no idea. I must be pretty wasted.” I said jokingly and chuckled. Niall stopped walking abruptly and I turned around to look at him.

“What are you looking a-” I trailed off, just as my gaze followed his. It was Nicole walking with Louis…she looked drunk. I glanced back at Niall.

“Oh, sorry. Don’t mind Louis, he picks up girls all the time. I uhh…” He trailed off, his voice sounding nervous

“Yeah…that’s Nicole.” I said matter-of-factly and he looked at me, his face full of surprise.

“You know her?” He asked. I chuckled, nodding.

“She’s my best friend. I’m staying with her this summer. And yes, don’t wory. I’m aware of the whole Harry situation”  His face suddenly softened, a smile spreading across his lips.

“Oh… ok. Good. “ He said as his gaze drifted back to Louis and Nicole.  I wonder what he was thinking about.

            Niall’s POV:

Louis was acting strange…really strange. He was laughing and it looked like he was almost flirting with Nicole. But he wasn’t…because Nicole was Harry’s. Harry never stopped talking about how much he cared about her, so Louis wouldn’t dare.

            Louis’s POV:

I had never actually admitted that I had feelings for Nicole.  I’ve had them the day Harry introduced us to her. I know it’s wrong, and I’ve continuously tried to hide them. I just wish she knew, it would make my life so much easier. But Harry’s my absolute best friend.

“How are you feeling?” I asked with a smile, after cracking one of my typical jokes.  She laughed, smiling up at me.

“Surprisingly better.  I think your jokes are like a secret medicine or something. I still have a major headache, but compared to how it was, I feel like I could run a marathon.” She replied with a laugh.

“Good. You need to slow down there a bit with the drinks Nicole. I get you’re a wild child, but you can only stomach so much.” I said jokingly, and she punched my arm.

“This is a one time thing. I am never ever drinking again. It’s not even worth it.” She laughed. I bit my lip, and stopped walking in the middle of what I thought was a deserted hallway. I looked down into her eyes, and she looked up, her face full of confusion.

“What’s going on?” She asked. It may have been the alcohol in my system, or maybe I was just trying to make an excuse for my actions. I knew it was wrong. She was completely wasted. I was taking advantage of her, but I couldn’t help it. I leaned down and kissed her lips gently.

            Sarah’s POV:

Holy shit. This was not happening. My eyes were full of panic as my eyes met Niall’s. He seemed to have the same reaction as me. Louis totally just made a move on Nicole… and she was kissing him back. He was taking advantage of her. She was completely drunk. “We have to say something.” Niall was silent for a few moments.

“I’ll talk to Louis when he drops her off… Harry’s not finding out. Ever. What he doesn’t know won’t hurt him. Louis’s obviously drunk and he’ll regret it in the morning. You have to promise not to say anything. Don’t even mention to Nicole that you saw anything… let me take care of it, ok? Please Sarah.” Niall asked, looking into my eyes.  I couldn’t help but nod slowly, sighing.

“Fine.” I managed to reply, although I had a feeling I was digging my own grave at this point.
