Nicole’s POV:

Louis’ lips pressed against mine as he pushed me against the hotel wall. I had no idea what I was doing. This was wrong… I know it was. I was such a bad person. Harry continuously forgave me for every stupid thing I had done and yet I continued to add more to my long list of screw-ups. I pushed away from Louis for a moment, breathing heavily.

“What are we doing?” I whispered softly, looking up into his eyes. He looked down at me, his hand resting above my head against the wall.  He was quiet for what seemed like forever. Eventually I gave up on getting an answer from him. I could feel my head pounding, and yet for some reason I didn’t seem to care.

“Nicole…” Louis started, taking a deep breath, his eyes wandering around the hallway before finally locking them on mine. Just as he opened his mouth to say something, we heard the elevator ding and footsteps came shuffling out. He pulled back and I stood up straight, both deciding it was clearly time to get me back to Harry’s room.

We walked a few more steps before arriving at the suite. Louis entered the keycard and held the door open for me as I ducked inside, my heart racing. I turned to look back at him and we stood there for a couple seconds, completely silent. So many thoughts rushed through my mind and I didn’t know which one of them to deal with first. Louis had a thing for me? Why hadn’t he ever told me? Why now? What if Harry finds out? How will I tell Harry? Am I even going to tell Harry? Why didn’t I push Louis away? Do I actually like him?

I watched as Louis checked his wristwatch. I felt awkward, and didn’t know what to say. My boyfriend’s best friend had just made a move on me, and that idea was clearly still processing in my brain.

“Nicole.  Don’t hate me, please. It was wrong of me. You’re drunk, and I took advantage of you. Just pretend like this never happened. I’m sorry.” Louis said quietly, avoiding my gaze. I dug my nails into my thigh, unsure of what to do or say.

“Don’t be sorry.” I managed to squeeze out just before he left. I watched his face soften and he smiled softly at me before leaving and closing the door behind him.

I stood in the middle of Harry’s room, feeling more confused and alone than ever. I loved Harry. But after today, I don’t know if Harry could ever love me in return. Tears formed in my eyes and I couldn’t keep it in anymore. I left soft sobs escape from my lips as I collapsed on the giant bed, not knowing what else I was capable of doing in that exact moment.

Sarah’s POV:

Well shit. Things were working out fabulously. I’ve been here for not even a day and I’m already flipping a shit. Louis made a move on Nicole. How do I even respond to that? Do I tell her I know? I leaned back against the hallway wall and crossed my arms, looking directly at Niall who was leaning against the wall on the other side.

“Now what?” I asked my eyelids heavy with exhaustion. It was about three am, and the party was slowly winding down downstairs, meaning Harry would be up any second. Niall stood there quietly for a few moments before taking a deep breath.

“I’m going to go find Louis. Sarah, go back to your room. Get some sleep, you look tired. We’ll figure this out in the morning.”

“No, I’m not leaving you… well this situation I mean. She’s my best friend. I’m going to help you.  I’m fine.”  I said and crossed my arms matter-of-factly. Niall stood up straight, coming closer to me.

“It’s fine. Please, just trust me. I know what I’m doing. I’ll fill you in tomorrow. Please…” He trailed off softly. At this point his face was only inches away from mine. I could feel him leaning in for a kiss just as a set of footsteps rounded the corner in the hallway. Niall quickly pulled back, his eyes landing on Louis. He looked like a mess, even worse than the last time we saw him. His hair was messed up, the top buttons of his shirt were open, and his sleeves were uneven.

“Oh, sorry to interrupt.” Louis quickly said and turned around, about to walk in the other direction.

“Oh no, you’re not interrupting. Wait up, I was just about to come find you.” Niall replied and gave me a soft smile.

“I’ll see you tomorrow.” He whispered and ran to catch up to Louis. I watched as they disappeared around the corner and let out a soft sigh. I was seconds away from a lip lock with Niall freaking Horan. Nice timing Louis.

            Niall’s POV:

I finally caught up with Louis just as we turned the corner into a nearby hallway.

“Why so jumpy? I’ve never seen you run to me like that.” Louis said with a chuckle, taking a swig of the beer that had managed to appear in his hand after he dropped Nicole off.

“Louis… “ I trailed off and stopped walking. He turned to look at me, raising an eyebrow.

“Yes Niall?” He asked, leaning against the nearby wall. He was drunk. That was clear from his previous actions, but his breath reeked of alcohol. I was silent for a few moments, unsure of how to approach the topic.

“Nicole’s Harry’s girlfriend.” I said harshly after a few seconds. He raised his eyebrows, putting his hands up defensively.

            “Thank you captain obvious.”

“No, Louis. I saw you kiss her. She needed your help, and you took advantage of her. Think about how Harry would feel. You guys are like brothers. You wouldn’t have done that if you weren’t wasted.”

“Why the hell not? What you don’t realize is that I would have done it either way. Harry gets every fucking thing he wants. He’s the one everybody loves. The media loves him, management loves him, and if any girl had the option to choose between the two of us, wait no the five of us for that matter, they would always pick him. She doesn’t fucking deserve him. He’s going to play her and break her heart like he always manages to do. I can’t stand to think about her getting hurt.”

“Louis shut the fuck up.” I interrupted, raising my voice ever so slightly, before continuing, “You don’t even realize what you’re saying right now. Harry’s your best friend and you’re clearly too drunk to function. You’ll regret this in the morning so get back to your room before you do something stupid.”

I watched as Louis took another swig of his beer. He was silent for a few moments before sighing.

“I know I can’t make a move on her. She loves him. I can see it in her eyes. ” He said softly, looking down at his feet. He leaned his head back against the wall, silent for a few moments.

“Please don’t tell Harry about tonight. I made a mistake.”

I nodded slowly, crossing my arms as I watched my friend hurting on the inside. It sucked. He really liked her. I didn’t know how I was supposed to react. Should I feel bad for him? But Nicole was dating Harry. I didn’t think things could get worse until our phones rang in unison. I reached for mine and 1 new text message popped up on the screen. My eyes met Louis’ and I could tell we had both read the same message. It was from Sienna.

‘Hey boys! Don’t think I’m dumb. I’m well aware of the little game you guys are playing on me. Harry with a regular girl? Please. He doesn’t know what he wants. I need your help un-confusing him. Get him to break up with her or else this might just happen to accidentally be sent to him. You have till tomorrow at midnight. The choice is yours. Kisses!’

Attached was a picture of Louis kissing Nicole. Blackmail.

Well this was going to be fun.
