Case of The Assistant is a spin-off book from my first book Perilous. Reading the main story is highly recommended before reading this book, but it is not required for your overall understanding. It does not go along with the original story, and is its own. It'll be a bit shorter as well.

Dialogue that is entirely in italics will be used to indicate when a character is speaking in any other language that is not English. For characters who speak French, I will try to use the French-American in me to the best of my ability (can't promise it'll be good so please correct me if I'm wrong!). Although italics will still be used for French that I don't know.
