"TOGETHER THEY STRIVE."
Saturday, August 19th
After our endeavors at Alferink, I had asked Eros for time off. He allowed me to, but even if he didn't, I still would've taken the time anyways. My flight to Japan was already booked, and I wasn't going to miss this wedding.
Leaving Eros alone to continue investigating, I flew to Japan on Thursday. Though the wedding is today, I wanted some time to explore and see the country for myself. Dawson would always tell me about it, but it's a lot different than I imagined.
Sage and Finn flew in a little bit later on the same day as me, and Hazel and Harlow arrived the next day on Friday. As for Valerie and Axel, they had been helping with the wedding preparations since they've been living here.
Right now, both grooms are in their separate rooms getting ready for the ceremony. With Dawson are the groomsmen; Axel, Sage, and Finn. With Grayson are the maids of honor; Valerie, Harlow, and myself. If you think I forgot about Hazel, don't you worry, she's getting ready for her own part.
Considering that the overall theme of the wedding is blue and neutral colors, the maids of honor and groomsmen are all wearing blue dresses or suits. Even Harlow, who is rarely seen in a dress, is wearing one. Although Grayson assured her that she could wear a suit, she said that she was completely fine with wearing a dress.
Our dresses are a dark navy blue, with off-shoulder straps. They expose our necks and collarbone, where each of us has a matching necklace to pair with the dress.
Valerie had her hair done just for this event, and her goddess braids are put up in a dainty bun. The dress compliments her dark skin and hugs her waist in the perfect way. Her makeup has hints of blue, especially on the eyes, and her lips are perfectly lined. It's been ages since I last saw her, and I swear she gets prettier every time.
Harlow, whose hair is just slightly longer than mine, has her brown hair in soft curls with gentle silver accent pieces throughout. The dress exposes those muscular arms of hers, clearly defining her abs underneath the fabric. Sometimes I forget that she used to be a boxer. Her blue eyes settle on the groom.
The prettiest one of us all is sitting in his chair, checking his face in the mirror. He had me apply a light amount of eye makeup earlier, although those hazel eyes didn't need much to accentuate his beauty. He's wearing a white suit, and his blond hair is flowing gently behind his ears, with strands out here and there. He is as calm as can be on his wedding day.
To my surprise, the only one who is even remotely stressed is Dawson. The boys had sent a message to us a little while ago, telling us that he was freaking out over every little thing. Axel had asked if he could bring his pet rat to the wedding as a joke, and Dawson damn near passed out on the spot.
Though it is funny, I just know that Dawson wants this wedding to go perfectly for Grayson.
Valerie checks the clock on the wall. "Grayson, it's time."
