Author here,

I often see how some writers romanticize mental illness. They use it as a basis for some kind of twisted romance, giving their characters excuses to do terrible things and play it out as "romance". I do not condone that whatsoever.

The dark romance in Perilous contained trauma, violence, and mature themes. Those things gave the romance the "dark" aspect to it. Never did it venture into the lane of absolute ABSURDITY that I see in some books today.

I know this will drive some people away, but I'll remind you again that this book has NO romance between the main two characters.

(The side characters, however, will get their fair share of romance to make up for it.)

This book was meant to give insight on the mind of someone who suffers from serious mental illness AND the minds of others who witness it. So, please be mindful of this!

Thanks again for reading!
