"i'm going out. i have a meeting with mr. davis today. i have a new security system so you won't need to stay in your room."

"okay" i replied sitting down on the couch

"i'll be back later"

matt walked out. his dog sat at the door and started crying. i actually kind of felt bad.

"burnie, come here" i called

burnie walked over and sat down on the floor in front of the couch. i slowly put my hand out to pet him. he moved his head and licked my hand causing me to laugh.

"maybe you're not so bad" i laughed

i patted the spot next to me for him to come on the couch. he jumped up and laid down next to me. the tv was on. they news was playing the clips of my disappearance again.

tears involuntarily feel out of my eyes and before i even realized it i was sobbing.

i pulled up to the house, got out of my car and knocked on the door.

a woman opened the door and showed me to mr. davis' office.

"hello matthew"

"mr. davis" i replied taking a seat in the chair across from his

"are you sure about this, sir? i mean i don't think she ever meant for this to happen to your son."

"matthew you better not be falling for that girl. i've sold you over $500 worth of drugs that you never paid me for, you owe me. either you kill her or i'll have someone kill you both."

i nodded my head and he continued to speak.

"in a few weeks, i'll drop something off at your house. you can put in her food and that'll be it. that bitch will get what she deserves."

"okay"

we had a little more conversation before i left and headed back to my house.

i opened the door expecting to see burnie there but he wasn't. i walked in and saw hannah on the couch she was cuddling with burnie. i could see the tear stains on her cheeks. i walked over sitting down next to them.

"what am i going to do burnie?" i sighed

i sat there for a little bit just thinking. it was getting late. i called burnie away from hannah that way i could get to her. i reacher underneath her and carried her small body up to her room.
