(two and a half years later)

its been two years since i've seen him. he told me not to wait for him so i didn't. i moved on. i found happiness in another guy. jack johnson. he absolutely adores me and treats me like i'm a princess. he's helped me move on from matt and move on from my past.

i've gone two years without this boy in my life and now here he is standing in front of me.

"wow, i did not think i would be seeing you here" matt joked

"well i do live here." i smiled "um how have you been since you got out?"

"good, actually. i moved back here and i have a really steady job and girlfriend. what about you, how have you been?"

"really amazing. i just finished my last year of online college and i have a boyfriend who's amazing."

"that's great hannah, i'm really happy for you." he smiled "maybe we could double date sometime"

"i'd like that"

we exchanged numbers and said our goodbyes. i grabbed coffee for jack and i before heading back to my apartment. i've moved back out of my parents house since everything and it was nice living on my own even though jack stayed some nights.

"jack" i called walking into the apartment

"morning babe" he replied taking the coffees from my hands and putting them on the counter "how's my beautiful girl doing this morning?"

"good" i let a giggle escape my lips "so i ran into matt this morning at the coffee shop"

"the matt you told me about?"

"yeah, well he has a girlfriend and we we're thinking about a double date, you know him and his girlfriend and me and you."

"sure that sounds like it could be fun"

i texted matt, making plans to meet him and his girlfriend tonight at this italian restaurant that's in town.

i slipped on a pair of wedges as i met jack at the front door.

"you look absolutely gorgeous" he stated then placed a kiss on my forehead

"thanks jack" i blushed

jack and i made our way to the car and he drove us to the restaurant. when we got out of the car i already saw matt and his girlfriend standing out front. i was actually really excited to meet her.

she had long golden brown hair with hazel eyes. she was absolutely gorgeous.

"hi" i said greeting matt with a hug

"hey, this is my girlfriend kelsie"

"i'm hannah" i smiled " and this is my boyfriend jack"

"well lets go inside" jack said

dinner went pretty well. i was a little worried about it being awkward but it actually wasn't. kelsie was so sweet and i see why matt is with her. they both treat each other so well. jack and kelsie had a small conversation while i said goodbye to matt.

"tonight was really fun" matt smiled

"yea, we should definitely do this again some time"

"agreed"

matt hugged me and we both walked over to kelsie and jack.

"it was nice meeting you kelsie. keep your eye out on that one" i laughed

"i will don't worry"

we said goodbye and headed to our car. once we got home i changed into sweatpants and jack's t-shirt. i walked out of the bedroom to see jack still in his outfit from dinner, sitting on the couch. it seemed like he was zoned out.

"are you okay?" i asked

"yeah, come here"

i walked over to the couch and sat down next to him.

"you look like you're thinking about something"

"that's because i am"

"wanna share?" i asked, curious about what was on his mind

"you know that i love you, right?"

"of course i know that and i love you too"

"i love you so much hannah and i know that we're young. that people say we don't know what love is but i fucking love you and i don't ever want to be with anyone else."

he slid off the couch down on to one knee. my hands flew to my mouth and i couldn't believe what was actually happening right now. he reached into his pocket pulling out a little black box opening it to reveal an engagement ring.

"han, you make me the happiest guy alive and i don't want to spend my life with anyone but you. will you marry me?"

the tears pour down my face as i repeatedly nod my head.

"yes" i smile

he pulls the ring out of the box sliding it onto my finger. he cups my face and crashes his lips onto mine.

"you're officially mine" he said

"i love you jack"

"i love you too baby"

well the next chapter kind of changes the game sooo be ready
