"you ready to go?" matt asked

i nodded and followed him out to the car, him and kelsie were taking me to the doctor. matt and kelsie are the only ones who know about me being pregnant but they were both beyond generous in helping me out. i sat in the backseat while matt and kelsie sat up front.

"thank you guys for doing this for me"

"you're welcome" kelsie turned around and smiled at me

we finally pulled up to the doctor's office. matt parked and we all went inside. i walked up to the desk and told them my name.

"alright you can go into room 4, but only one of them can go in with you"

i asked kelsie to come in with me.

i waited in the waiting room for about 30 minutes when hannah ran through the waiting room and went outside. kelsie followed shortly after her.

"what happened?"

"they just told her that she's definitely pregnant but they're a little worried" kelsie replied

"worried? what are they worried about?"

"well we told them about jack and they're nervous her being depressed could put stress on the baby"

"okay, i'll talk to her. let's go." 

we walked outside and i saw hannah sitting on the bench. i told kelsie to go to the car and i would go talk to her. i walked to the bench and sat down next to her.

"hey han"

"hi" she quietly replied

"you okay?"

"i don't know. i don't know anything anymore. i wish i could just disappear."

"i know you want this all to go away but you can't just wish it away. i need you to try and keep yourself healthy and somewhat happy. if you can't do it for me do it for your baby."

"okay"

((five months later))

ever since jack passed and i found out about my pregnancy i've been staying at matt's. he insisted because he wanted to make sure that i was okay. unfortunately me being there had an impact on his relationship and him and kelsie are no longer together. matt said he was okay with it.

i was still working only three days a week as a secretary for the president of a bank. matt has a job in photography so he works really weird hours.

right now i'm sitting at the table while matt cooks dinner. i guess i've temporarily moved into his house.

matt walked over to the table and put a plate down in front of me.

"fish, again?" i asked as i stared down at the plate

"it's good to eat fish when you're pregnant"

"and you know this how?"

"when i agreed to move a pregnant person into my apartment i did my research" he replied earning a chuckle from me

matt and i had finished dinner and we were just sitting on his couch. i laid my head on his chest and his arm was protectively wrapped around me.

"so what are we?" matt asked

"i-i don't know"

"i want something. being here with you these couple of months has been amazing. i understand you may still need time."

"i still need sometime before i can make it official."

"really?" he asked, surprised

"really. i don't want any other family for my baby besides me and you."

"that means so much to me han. i want to be in this baby's life." he smiled "your bump is so cute."

matt took his hand and placed it on my stomach.

"i'll take care of both of you i promise" he said then kissed my forehead
