4 years later

"LINDO! LINDO! LINDOOOOO"

The announcer screamed as Brazil had possession of the ball about to score. It was the 2026 World Cup and if they won this game Brazil would move onto the quarterfinals. The entire stadium was on their feet as Vinicius passed to Richarlison. It was currently 2 to 2 with 1 minute left on the clock.

Richarlison was stuck with two defenders on him quickly Mateo sprinted up and got the ball from a beautiful pass. With 40 seconds left he kicked aiming for the net earning Brazil their final score

"SCOREEEEEE!!!!" The whole crowd screamed as they were finally moving forwards in the world cup

"Mama! Mama! Score!!!" my three year old son jumped micking everyone around him. I laughed  and ruffled his hair

"Junior você viu o pai pontuar?" Catia screamed

"Yes, vovó" he cheesed still jumping from excitement

Mateo and I have been together for 5 years now and it was hard at first doing long distance we had many arguments throughout that first year but then I decided to move to France. It was very irrational but I was unhappy with my job and keeping up with Mateo's career wasn't easy

The transition was pretty smooth since I ended up moving in with Mateo. Finding a job was the hard part since I didn't speak French and packed up my life with no plan. Living off of my boyfriend was slowly making me feel dependent and I didn't get a degree for nothing.

After a few months a friend back home got me in contact with a vogue magazine. It was the breaking point of my career and the CEO loved my work back in America so she offered me a position. I loved France and my relationship with Mateo blossomed. Though it was hard to leave my family and Sophia we've been living a great life there

A year later we were blessed with the smartest, funniest, and most adorable boy; Mateo Jr. Souza. He was a complete accident and at the time I was not ready for a baby but now he's my light and joy.

When he was born I swear he was my twin but now he's starting to look like Mateo.  Junior copies everything he does at home he runs around in his soccer shoes and mimics what his father does in games. It's the cutest thing ever and I cry every time. Mateo says I'm too emotional but every milestone my babies hit makes me cry.

"Mama can we go see papa" Juniors tiny voice asked me

"Of course baby" I reached down to pick him up as we headed to the field

"Auntie! Auntie! Can we come too" Isabella and Francesca asked. They had grown up so much and were the best big cousins. Every time we visited Brazil the girls were excited to see Junior he was the chunkiest baby and everyone adored him.

"Girls don't terrorize your uncle" Nathalie stressed rubbing her 6 month belly. She was having another girl and their house was going to get crazier Enzo was very excited for the new baby but Nathalie really wanted a boy

I walked with the kids to meet Mateo. The girls were super excited to greet their uncle after his big win. We made it to the field entrance and once they saw Mateo they sprinted fast tackling him

"Congratulations uncle" they cheered jumping on him

"Thank you girls" he said laughing standing up. I let Junior down as he also ran as fast as his little legs could go

"Papa!" he screamed as Mateo bent down to greet our son

"Junior! senti a sua falta" he said picking up Junior
