"Okay," said Matt in between bites of toast, "Since down-hill skiing seems not to be your thing, I'm taking you cross-country."

"Cross... Country...?"

Matt gave a small smile. "It's like regular skiing, only on flat ground."

Matthew nodded his head when he understood. He gave a small yawn and stood up from the dining table. He walked over to the kitchen and washed his and Matt's plate, only to return a few moments later. Matt got up also and they headed into their room.

Opening a medium sized chest, they took out the warm snow clothes they needed for outside. That included snow overalls, boots, gloves, etc. Matt had grabbed a backpack. After putting on their equipment, the two said good-bye to a blogging Natalia and headed outside.

----

Matt positioned his poles and pushed off with a jolt, causing him to move forward.

"See? Just like downhill. Only you have to use more strength, because there's no gravity to help."

"Okay," responded Matthew, who then thrusted forward with a small groan. He didn't move nearly as far as Matt, but it was something. The two kept going slowly forward towards the beginning of a ski trail.

It was silent until about 10 minutes into their skiing.

"Hey, Matthew?"

"Yes?"

"Let's have a picnic," Matt said softly as he threw his poles aside and took off him backpack.

Matthew tilted his head, "Wait, right now? In the middle of the ski trail?"

"No, no, off to the side."

Matt had started taking off his skis and placing them underneath a tree, covering them with snow.

"C'mon, put yours down as well."

Matthew followed his boyfriend's lead and hid his gear. They set off into the woods, the only thing being carried was Matt's backpack.

After a few minutes of walking through the snowy woods, the two came across a clearing. It was small, but beautiful. Sparkly white snow lay perfect and un disturbed on the ground, and thin, sharp icicles dangled from the trees.

Matt smiled at Matthew's amazed look. He walked softly into the clearing and took out a blanket, which he laid upon the snow. After that came two thermos bowls and two thermos cups.

Matthew followed him and sat down on the fuzzy red blanket. Matt tossed his backpack aside and also sat.

Opening one of the thermos containers, Matthew asked, "Babe, did you make this soup yourself?"

Both of their faces reddened. Matt was shocked that Matthew said that, and Matthew didn't even mean to. They sat in uncomfortable silence.

"Yeah," Matt replied softly, trying to shatter the awkwardness.

Matthew sipped a bit straight from the bowl, since his boyfriend forgot utensils.

"It's really good!" He said with a tiny grin.

They ate their soup and drank the warm water, talking about things as random as turtles.

Just as the two finished Matt slowly opened yawned and put his arm around Matthew's shoulder. He'd seen it done multiple times and didn't really care if it was cheesy.

Matthew didn't either. He leaned against his chest, gazing up at him with pink cheeks. Trying to be smooth, Matt placed a kiss on his forehead.

'Damn, he's adorable,' they both thought at the same time unknowingly.

Matt clumsily tried to reposition his hand, which only caused Matthew to fall and land on him. Matthew turned over so he was face-to-face with Matt.

Matthew, as if knowing what to do, narrowed his eyes slightly and bit his lower lip. That caused a pang of lust in Matt, who in return, grabbed the back of Matthew's head and pulled him into a passionate kiss.

And they they lay, kissing in the clearing over a soft pile of snow.

((Smut next chapter btw. Not in the snow though. Don't wanna get frostbite on your dick.))
