Harry asked for the diary as soon as he was gone going to catch up with his best friends father.
"Mr Malfoy. Mr Malfoy." Lucius stopped and turned to face him "I have something of yours." he shoved the diary to him
"Mine? I don't know what you're talking about." Lucius replied
"Oh I think you do, sir. I think you slipped the diary into Ginny Weasley's cauldron that day in Diagon Alley." Harry voiced his theory.
"You do, do you?" Lucius handed the diary to Dobby who took it "Why don't you prove it."
"I won't need to. Not when Vega hears what happened, all it takes is for her to believe that you set of the chain of events that lead her to be put into hospital. From there she will tell your wife and your son and then everything comes down like dominos" there was a flicker of fear "But lucky for you, you're pushing her away on your own. Unlike you, I would not willingly put her in danger." he sassed back
"Come Dobby." Lucius ordered and turned away from his daughter best friend going to leave. Harry turned to Dobby
"Open it." he whispered. Dobby did so revealing a sock in the pages.
"Dobby!"
"Master has given Dobby a sock." Dobby breathed
"What I didn't give you..." Lucius turned back around
"Master has presented Dobby with clothes. Dobby is free." Harry revealed his missing sock which angered the man.
"You lost me my servant." Lucius went to attack harry but Dobby stopped him from causing any harm
"Your parents were meddlesome fools to." Lucius sneered "Mark my words Potter you are going to meet the same sticky end." With that he left.
"Harry Potter freed Dobby. How can Dobby ever repay him?" Bobby asked
"Just promise me one thing." Harry replied
"Anything sir."
"Never try to save my life again." Dobby gave a awkward look but agreed to Harry's request/

All those were petrified were returned to their normal state. Hermione reunited with Harry and Ron and during their embrace. Harry caught sight of a familiar blonde coming in with her brother.
"Vega" he breathed and they all turned to her, she was still bruised and scrapped but was easily walking of her own volition and back where she wanted to be. The three of them ran over as did Vega. The first to reach her was Harry who lifted her up slightly. She then hugged Ron and Hermione.
"I hear congratulations are in order. My father is absolutely beside himself in some form of annoyance at your actions. Draco even told me about the baboon of a teacher." she chimed weakly. Professor McGonagall clinked her glass calling everyone to attention. Vega winced from the noise still sensitive. The four of them sat down, Harry offering Vega a place next to him and Hermione.
"Before we begin the feast let us have a round of applause for Professor Sprout, Madam Pomfrey whose mandrake juice has been successfully administered to all who had been petrified." They all clapped for the two women "Also in light of recent events. As a school treat all exams have been canceled." Everyone cheered expect for Vega and Hermione who were gutted they couldn't sit their exams. The doors to the halls re opened and in entered Hagrid.
"Sorry I'm late." Hagrid began to walk forward "The owl who delivered my release papers got lost and confused. Some ruddy bird called errol." Vega glanced at Ron then laughed. Hagrid stopped in front of the four.
"I just want to say if it wasn't for you Harry and Ron and of course Hermione and Vega. I would be still you know where. So I would just like to say thanks." Harry stood up.
"It's not Hogwarts without you Hagrid." Harry hugged him and Dumbledore started clapping soon everyone joined in cheering for the groundskeeper. Tear slid down Vega's cheeks in happiness
