Wednesday's POV

I don't want to admit it but I am getting jealous.

Enid and Tyler's been on something, they're always together, whispering, laughing as if I don't even exist in their lives.

I'm not the jealous type to be honest, but ever since my feelings for Tyler has become clear to me, I have started disliking him talking to any other girl. Even if it is Enid. Sure, he doesn't know about my feelings but I swear I can see it in his eyes that he likes me too. Hopefully, atleast.

"Soo, Tyler and I are going at this building which is like really tall and he wants to show me the view from there. Wanna come?" Enid asks while she's shuffling through her dresses.

I roll my eyes, continuing to type down my new novel.

"Ajax wouldn't mind?" I ask, swiveling my eyes at her very subtly.

"Of course not. I'm not telling him though. The less he knows the better."

I grit my teeth.

"But that's disrespectful in a relationship!" I exclaim a bit loudly than intended and her brows furrow.

"I'm not dating Tyler. We're just visiting as friends. That's all." She shrugs me off and finally decides on something to wear and scurries off to the washroom.

I curl my fingers and clench them in a fist then try to relax my shoulders. I'm not giving in my jealousy, no way. Tyler doesn't even know about my feelings, why would he care even? But I should try at least, right?

So, I eventually decide on going with them. Much to Enid's displease if I must say. Her behavior is hurting me to be honest, she is my bestfriend first then Tyler's. Why would she not want me?

I shake the thoughts away and follow Enid up to the building Tyler is supposed to be in.

We end up on the rooftop, it's really windy and cold, I scrunch my eyes and try to see the surroundings.

There's a table with two chairs, like a couple date or something, with candle in the middle. My blood boils thinking that Tyler has planned a fucking date with Enid?

"I should probably go." I say to Enid and frown when I don't see Enid there. "Enid? Where are you? Enid!" I call loudly but she's nowhere in sight.

"Wednesday?" I jump at the sudden voice and my breath gets stuck in my throat at the sight of Tyler.

"Hey." I say a bit out of breath. "Sorry, I wasn't supposed to be here. Enid brought me here and she-she kinda ran off to somewhere. I'm sorry- I'll go."

I turn around but he grabs my wrist and stops me.

"Ajax called me here, at first I was confused but now I know why they did it." He says in amusement.

I open my mouth to speak but nothing comes out, and I stare at him with wide eyes.

"Wednesday, I've been meaning to tell you this for a couple months now." He takes both of my hands, gazing deeply in my eyes. "I like you, Wens. I never thought it was possible to like someone so cold and distant, but when I started to have an insight in your warm side, or how you let yourself open up when no one's watching.

I know it took me a while, but I came to realize my feelings for you. Much thanks to Enid though, she helped me sort things out a lot." He chuckles and I feel stupid for all my jealousy.

"So, Wens, would you be my date?" He asks sincerely and smiles at me.

I can't help my own smile from plastering on my face. "I like you too. I have also been living with these feelings for a while now. I didn't know how to confess, and seeing you and Enid so close was making me crazy-"

"What?" He cut me off and I have to roll my eyes before continuing, "Yeah, but now it's all clear. Anyway, yes. I will be your date." I squeeze his hands.

He slowly starts leaning in and I reciprocate by tilting my face up and softly connecting our lips.

He cups one side of my face and holds my hand with the other as we kiss, the harsh wind piercing our skins, but we could care less.

Clapping sounds are what breaks us and we turn to see a giggling Enid with Ajax right behind her.

"What?" Tyler wonders, chuckling in puzzlement.

"You two fools." I mutter in pretense anger, very well understanding it is their doing.

Tyler looks down at me in question and I roll my eyes. Again.

"Well, it's clear these two set us up."

"Yes." Enid laughs, linking arms with Ajax as they share a lovey-dovey glance. "You two pathetic lovesick teenagers were being so oblivious, so we had to step in and seal the bond."

Tyler lets out a laugh and I have to laugh too, it indeed is a funny thing now that I think back to how miserable I was.

"Thanks, guys. You really are the best." Tyler hugs the couple and I smile gratefully at them.

"Gosh, Wens. You were so jealous. I-I-" she bursts out laughing. "I can't."

I smack her arm but she ends up pulling me in a hug, I hug her back, reluctantly.

"Thanks." I mumble in her ear so no one else hears. She pulls back and smiles at me.

"Now, our work here is done. So, our new love birds, spend some time together."

We wave them goodbye and they leave.

Tyler turns to me and we share another small laugh before he hugs my waist and pulls me close. "Now, where were we?"

I wrap my arms around his neck and pull his face down to my lips in a passionate kiss. I've been wanting this for too long.
