"I-I can't."

"Yes, you can."

"No."

"It's just a dinner, Ty."

"But at yours!"

"So? You're over reacting like it's on a different planet."

Tyler sighed and looked out his window.
Wednesday grabbed the boy's hand and entwinned their fingers together, softly kissing him on the cheek. She knew her touches always calmed him down. Tyler took a shaky breath then nodded lightly.

"It's gonna be okay." She put her chin on his shoulder, her thumb caressing over his stiffened knuckles. "I'll be by your side the whole time."

"Promise?" He tilted his head to look in her eyes which were bright with the affection she felt, it soothed his soul.

"Promise." She pecked his lips, smiling after they pulled apart.

Tyler fully turned around and pulled her close by her hips, she cupped his face and they leaned in to a sweet kiss.

Their arms were gripping each other tightly while they kissed, loving how the other's lips felt against their own.

Tyler always tasted of coffee, sprinkles, caramel, Wednesday loved that she could literally feel him through their kisses, it made her feel even more close to her boy, as if their souls were bounded in a single thread.

Pulling apart, Wednesday remained close to his face, both of them breathing deeply as their eyes bore into eachother's.

"They're gonna love you."

"Do they know? Ab-about me being a Hyde?" He seemed insecure, eyes darting sideways to avoid being ashamed.

Wednesday grabbed his face a bit forcefully so he'd look toward her.

"Yes, they do. In fact, they're thrilled about it."

At first, Tyler looked confused but soon bursted in laughter, the girl only smiling a little at his contagious laugh.

Their hands were clasped tightly as they stood outside the dark doors of this dark house. Tyler gulped, earning a small squeeze from his girlfriend in assurance.

The doors opened and Gomez appeared.

"My little mocking bird!" He exclaimed with a huge smile, stepping forward and hugging the girl, somewhat from a distance which made the boy raise a brow. "Look, she's even brought someone home? Did you kidnap him?" Then he looked at Tyler with the same pointing look, "Did she kidnap you here? Are you her new experiment or something?"

"Father!"

"Sorry sorry, my bad. Come inside." Gomez chuckled as he ushered them inside.

Tyler half chuckled and half nodded, feeling his throat drying up.

"Oh sweets." Morticia walked down the stairs, looking as elegant and pale as her daughter. "I'm so glad you two could make it." She went to Tyler, eyeing him up and down.

"Hello, ma'am. I'm Tyler Galpin. Wednesday's-"

"Prey?"

"Boyfriend." Wednesday gritted out, eyes glaring at her parents.

Morticia looked over at her husband and they both shared a laugh before leaning in to smooch.

"Guys, can you two stop and be a decent pair for one dinner?" She seethed.

Tyler chuckled.

"So sorry, honey. Come on, dinner's ready."

The four of them walked to the table where various kind of foods were in display, looking delicious yet gruesome.

Tyler and Wednesday sat down by side, Gomez taking the head chair while Morticia sitting by him. Lurch served the plates while Thing sat at the end of the table.

"Well, Tyler. Make yourself at home and serve yourself to whatever you like." Morticia smiled kindly.

Wednesday, for the first time, saw how her mother's eyes were proud and looking at her softly, she knew they approved of her choice, and she was relieved.

"Your Hyde," Gomez began, making Tyler tense up before the goth girl held his hand and calmed him down. "Is it like wolfing out during full moon or something?"

Tyler sighed through his nose, shaking his head with a nervous chuckle.

"Uhm no, sir. I can Hyde out whenever I want."

Gomez looked at Moritica with a grin, "Tish, our little deathtrap got a solid one." This made the woman smile fondly at her husband.

"Yes, she did." She turned to Tyler. "Welcome to the family, son."

For the first time in that night, Tyler breathed out in relief.

"Thank you, ma'am."

"Call me Morticia."

He nodded.

After dinner, Wednesday brought him to her room, both of them flopping down on the bed. Too stuffed up with dinner to stand on feet anymore.

"There's desert." Wednesday pointed to the two ice-cream cups on the table. "Wanna have some?"

Tyler groaned and sat up on the bed, nodding with a smile, making the girl smile. It always got a smile out of her whenever Tyler looked like an excited puppy at the mention of ice-cream.

She got up and grabbed the cups, handing one to the brunette then they went over outside the window of her room, to sit on the roof.

The nightsky was darker than usual, probably to match with the theme of this house, it was floated with bright, shining stars. A calm and chilly breeze was blowing around, it was the perfect atmosphere to huddle on the rooftop with ice-cream cups in hand, and beloved by side.

"It's nice in here." Tyler commented, taking a spoon of his ice-cream. "We can stay for a few days if you want."

Wednesday scoffed. "Nope. We're returning to Nevermore first thing in the morning tomorrow."

Tyler pouted but it soon resolved anyway.

"Okay, whatever you want, babe." He winked.

The girl blushed a little, placing her head on his shoulder, staring out at the cemetery lane infront of them.

It was relaxing, it made them hum and smile with contentment.
