"Jimin!"
Taehyung chuckled, as soon as he opened the front door, he jumped forward into his best friend's arms, colliding with his smaller frame.
Closing the door behind them, he urged the male to sit down on the couch.
"What a pleasant surprise." Taehyung wiggled his eyebrows, making the other laugh and shake his head.
"I missed you. I impulsively decided to drive three and a half hours to come surprise you with my sudden appearance. Aren't I the best?" He giggled.
"Would you like anything? Tea, water, coffee, cookies?" Taehyung stood up, rubbing his hands together whilst already taking a few steps back towards the kitchen as he awaited a response.
"Oh, some tea would be nice, yes! And you know me, I wouldn't oppose to cookies."
A few moments later, they found themselves sitting in the living room chatting and laughing away.
But when Taehyung's eyes couldn't help but notice a vase behind Jimin 'floating' upwards and then being moved to the other side of the dresser, he realised he forgot all about someone else.
He frowned a little, eyes now glued back onto his best friend who continued rambling.
Taehyung thought for a moment.
Would it be okay to tell him?
Would he believe him?
He really wanted to, after all, doing and knowing this all by himself freaked and tired him out. But on the other hand, Jeongguk trusted him. Perhaps it was up him whether to tell Jimin or not.
So Taehyung kept his mouth shut for now.
"Did you know that Namjoon has moved back?"
The sudden question shook the dark haired male completely out of his latest thoughts.
"What?"
"Yeah, your cousin moved back. Didn't you know? I thought he would've called you by now. I mean, he even called me."
Taehyung sat perplexed.
"No, he didn't. Not yet. Perhaps he's planning to? Wow, he moved back, huh? Why so?""He told me he just needed to get out for a while. Now that he feels okay again, he decided to move back. He never told me the reason why he left in the first place." Jimin's last sentence drifted off, along with his eyes.
"Uh, Tae? Wasn't that chair, like, on the other side of the room five minutes ago? Or am I tripping?"
Taehyung's head shot to the right, his face paling just a little.
"Huh? What? No, it had been there the moment you walked in. Really."
Shrugging his shoulders, Jimin was about to look away when he shrieked and jumped up.
"What happened?" The latter's eyes widened, standing up as well.
Jimin simply pointed.
Taehyung slowly looked at the cup of tea on the table, the spoon swishing around in the cup as if someone was stirring it.
The male pinched his nosebridge, furrowing his eyebrows and sulking under his breath.
'For fuck's sake, Jeongguk, don't scare my best friend.'
Jimin looked back at Taehyung in horror, for a moment they just stared.
"Perhaps it's a good idea to ring Namjoon up to see if he's in to crash here one of these days. Might be a good idea considering.. some strange stuff happens in front of our eyes here."
Taehyung furrowed his eyebrows even deeper.
"What has Namjoon suddenly got to do with.. this?"
Then, Jimin laughed, throwing his head back and sitting back down.
"Remember that one time, when we decided to hang out and he was all up into these wierd kinds of.. readings? I think that's what it was? Even Seokjin went along with it, I'll never forget it! It was hilarious! They looked dead serious, what made it even better!"
It was as if a lightbulb suddenly flicked on above Taehyung's head.
"Jimin, you're a genius."
Eventually came the point both males decided to call it a day and headed to bed. Taehyung pointed Jimin to the guest room, sighing in relief since his best friend hadn't noticed anything strange apart from the spoon in his cup. He was about to open his own door when his eyes widened in realisation.
Dashing back towards Jimin, he suddenly grabbed him by the back of his collar, pulling him back a little so he wouldn't enter the room.
The shorter male frowned, confusion all written over his face.
The taller stood between Jimin and the door, his hand on the doorknob and slowly twisting it around-
"-Uh, I forgot something in this room, just- wait here for a split second.."
With that being said, he entered and shut the door right in the boy's face.
Frantically looking around, he searched for any mirror in the room. His heartbeat hammered in his chest, gradually slowing down when he couldn't find what he was looking for.
That was when Jimin decided to walk in. Taehyung turned back around, eyes now quadrupling in size, seeing a mirror on the back of the door.
Anxiously nibbling on his lip, he scooted towards it so his back would be blocking it from Jimin's view.
"Gosh, what're you doing in here? What was taking so long?"
Awkwardly chuckling, Taehyung scratched the top of his head, trying to figure out how to get out of this situation.
"I wanted to tidy it up a little. It was messy, haha."
Jimin's face contorted, questionmarks almost popping up above his head.
"Wait, did my TaeTae have a guest over that wasn't me~? Did TaeTae finally get laid~?"
Taehyung's mouth went agape in horror. Not only because of what just came out of the other male, also because he knew someone else was listening to their conversation.
"W-what!? No! No, that's not- God, Jimin, no-"
"-Then why was this room messy? When I left last time, I made sure to clean it up a bit."
Taehyung internally facepalmed himself, about to try to answer that when Jimin commented another thing.
"And why are you so frozen in place? What are you hiding there?"
Before he could process, Taehyung was shoved aside and could only watch as Jimin now looked into the medium-sized mirror.
"Seriously, Tae? Why are you so wierd?" Jimin started to laugh, shaking his head.
Huh? His reflection was perfectly fine? How?
When the smaller boy went to walk towards the bed, Taehyung peeked into the mirror hastily, only his head visible. Well, not his- Jeongguk's. And the male had a rather smug face, a smirk displayed on his lips.
Oh, how much Taehyung wanted to punch the mirror right now.
"Taehyung?" The mentioned yeeted himself backwards, looking back at his friend.
"Try to get some proper sleep, alright? Like I said on the last telephone call, you haven't quite been yourself lately. Take care, alright?"
Jimin had a serious and caring look on his face. The darker haired male sighed, nodding.
"I'll try, Chim. Goodnight."
The boy smiled, giggling.
"Goodnight. Love you."
Taehyung opened the door, whilst closing it he smiled, "Love you, too."
