''So, basically, what you're saying, is that the spell I read out loud yesterday managed to make Jeongguk touchable?'' Seokjin sat perplexed, now all of them gathered in the guest room trying to process the newest information.
''Yeah. That's what Jeongguk thought. What I'm wondering, however, is how the hell the body managed to vanish into thin air.'' Taehyung stared at the empty bed, head feeling blank.
It was silent. All of them tried to think of somewhat reasonable scenarios, but nothing came to mind in this case.
''What else happened yesterday? There has to be something that caused it to happen. I feel like we're missing a giant piece of information.'' Namjoon commented, Seokjin nodded in agreement. The youngest two males froze in their spots, red tints creeping up on their cheeks. Jeongguk panicked, looking over at Taehyung with big eyes.
Coughing, Taehyung tried to think of something.
''Y'all fucked.'' Namjoon suddenly exclaimed, causing Jeongguk to go beet red and hide behind Taehyung.
Well, that was one way to sum up their most passionate shared moment.
Seokjin gasped, about to hit his partner for even thinking of such a thing, but the reaction it gave made him realise that his assumption wasn't wrong.
He awkwardly chuckled, "Is that true? Not that I want to know, but it's a very important piece of this giant puzzle."
Taehyung nodded, smirking when the younger behind him went "Taeeee!"
Namjoon grinned, winking at Taehyung and giving him a pat on his shoulder. Seokjin cleared his throat, laughing a little.
"Well, that does explain some things. I think by doing that, you bound him back to the earth, Taehyung. Instead of his soul crashing back into his body, it happened the other way around. I think during it, you brought him back wholly."
Taehyung was flabbergasted. He what now?
Instead of a magical wand, he has a magical dick?
"So.. what you're saying, is that Jeongguk is back. Like, back back, back on earth, back in his actual body kind of back? Back as in, fully human again?"
"That are a lot of 'backs,' hyung.." Jeongguk chimed, causing Taehyung to snort. "Yeah, but, you're.. back. I am so confused right now.."
"Aren't you happy, Jeongguk? You finally got what you wanted!" Seokjin smiled, seeing the boy slowly recover from his previous embarrassment.
"Yeah. I suppose I am.." He muttered, shrugging and looking down afterwards. It caused all of the other men to frown, noticing that his demeanor didn't fit together with the happy news.
Taehyung grabbed his hand, causing Jeongguk to look up at him. To his shock, there were tears ready to spill.
"Oh, Ggukkie, what's wrong?" He worried, cupping his face and watching as his lips started to wobble.
"N-now that I'm back, Seokjin still has to remove the rest of the spell. A-and what if you don't feel the same way as I do? I-I know that what I feel towards you is real, Taehyungie.. I don't want you to leave me!" He cried out, shocking all of them but Taehyung the most.
"You think my feelings for you are only there because of the spell? Did I not prove myself last night?" He whispered, pain laced his words.
"N-no, I mean-" Jeongguk stuttered, panicking as he realised how wrong it sounded. Taehyung let go off his face and even his hand, causing the younger to try and grip it back but to avail.
"Seokjin-hyung, is there any way to remove the rest of the spell? We wouldn't be able to go separate ways if we're still bound together." Taehyung voiced, making Jeongguk's heart drop.
He shot his eyes back towards Seokjin, tears streaming down his face. He had fucked it all up by saying those words, hadn't he? Taehyung wanted to go separate ways now. It's all his fault. He's going to lose him and he'll have no one, and it's all because of his stupid words-
His worries got interrupted when Taehyung squatted down in front of him, both of his hands holding onto his clutched fists.
He sniffled sadly, not understanding why the male was giving him such a heartwarming smile. Was he preparing him for his goodbye words? The thought made him even sadder. He didn't want to look him in his eyes, not any form of ready for the words he thought the other was going to say to him.
"Jeonggukkie.." His whimpered, biting back a sob as he stared at the floor.
"I'm not going anywhere, love. Let me prove to you how real my feelings are for you. He'll remove the spell, so I can still go to work and do other things without needing to worry about anything happening to me and you going through the same fate. I wouldn't be able to live with that." His chin was tilted towards Taehyung's own face by the help of his hand.
Searching for his eyes, he watched the other smile widely. "Wipe those tears of yours, love. I promised you, didn't I? I'm here and I'm not leaving you."
Jeongguk's heart flipped, his worries stilled. Hopeful, he wiped his tears. That nickname did things to him, made him feel warm and loved all over.
"Really?" Taehyung nodded quickly, wiping the last stray tear of his. "I promise, Gguk."
Seokjin got emotional, sniffling himself. Namjoon laughed, shaking his head and pulling him in a hug.
"I'll try my best to find a spell. Jeongguk, you can't forget that everyone assumed you were dead five years ago. It'll be hard for you to go outside and pretend as if nothing happened, there's a risk someone picks up on it. Maybe we can change your appearance a bit and try to think of a cover up, in case necessary."
Taehyung hummed at that. "He's right. We can't risk an entire new investigation. How do you feel about changing your hair a little? Give you a small makeover?" He pinched his cheek, a giggle being the result of it.
"I'm in for it!" Jeongguk answered, smiling.
"Great! Taehyung will help you with everything. Namjoon and I will go downstairs to think about how to solve the last issue." Seokjin winked at the boy, causing him to shyly nod.
Taehyung ruffled his hair, chuckling.
"You're adorable."
