''Seokjin-hyung! It's really nice to see you again!'' Taehyung admitted in all honesty, welcoming the man inside. He didn't miss the entire suitcase he had brought along with him.
''I missed you too, Tae. Thank you for making time in such short notice. Like I said during our call this morning, Namjoon and I kind of got into a fight.. And I decided I just need some time. So, please don't mind the suitcase, I'm planning on staying in a nearby hotel for just a day or two to think.'' The man felt terrible for lying to the younger's face, but internally he wanted to shout and celebrate once Taehyung immediately commented, ''If you want to, you can crash at my place for as long as you'd like! No need for a hotel, hyung. I don't mind! It'd be great to spend some more time with you, after not being able to for so long.''
'Mission accomplished,' Seokjin thought to himself, phew'ing out loud. Taehyung, on the other hand, knew that this was only going to give him more time to figure out what exactly the other was hiding from him, so he was all in for it.
''I'll go and prepare the guest room for you. Can I get you anything in the meantime?'' Taehyung smiled, cocking his head to the side as he awaited an answer. ''Oh, I'll make us some dinner, Tae! It's about time for that, anyway. Do you have anything of use in the cupboards?'' The older offered, already standing up.
The younger smiled at that, glad that he was still the same Seokjin even after all this time. ''Yeah, grab whatever you might need. I'm sure there are a few things you could use. Don't expect much, though, I still need to do some grocery shopping for this upcoming week.'' He scratched the back of his neck, chuckling.
Seokjin hummed, clasping his hands together and making his way to the kitchen whilst Taehyung grabbed his suitcase and took it with him upstairs.
He entered the guest room, knowing there wasn't much that needed to be done as Jimin looked after it more than perfectly.
He did take a quick look in the mirror. ''Do I need to cover this up, or something?'' He whispered, unsure. Jeongguk tsk'ed, rolling his eyes, wanting to give the older a soft smack on the back of his head. ''Remember I'm not bound to the mirror, you dork. I don't have to show myself. I won't either, don't worry.''
Taehyung smiled sheepishly, internally cursing at himself for letting that slip and looking dumb in front of the younger. He nodded, looking around once more to make sure everything was alright before heading back downstairs.
Seokjin however, took his time looking around as soon as Taehyung went upstairs. He tried his best to swallow back the gut-eating feeling that consumed him, feeling like shivering almost every second. He opened a few cabinets and took out some things, peeking inside the fridge to see what he could use. He knew he had to be careful with whatever he was doing, not wanting Taehyung to suddenly stand behind him when the spoon was stirring soup on it's own. Not until Namjoon agreed on telling him, that was.
Remembering the male, he quickly took out his phone and sent him a quick text to tell him their little plan had worked. After doing so, he took a few eggs and other edibles, recomposing himself once he heard footsteps coming in from around the corner.
For now, his mission was to observe. To silently observe and think to himself, trying to connect some dots.
Unbeknownst to him, the younger male had the exact same plan in mind.

Namjoon on the other hand, was currently packing some of his things. Making sure he didn't leave anything behind, he made his way out the door, entered his car and started the engine.
The drive to the cabin would take a while, a good four hours at most. Hence, why he decided five years ago that it would be the most idealistic place to hide a body. No place is idealistic when it comes down to such a thing, but he needed something, and considering the time it took to get there and the amount of distance there was between that place and the crime scene, he reckoned it was a good enough place to lay low for a while. To let the situation pass for some time.
He was about to drive away, when his phone went off. Reading the message, he smiled, of course their plan would've worked. Knowing Taehyung's nature, they knew he would offer such a thing.
Kind of feeling bad for using him like that, he sighed, now indeed accelerating. He had a long way to go.
The plan was that Seokjin kept an eye on Taehyung's behaviour and any strange things in his house, whilst Namjoon went to see the body of the male, trying to think of ways to fix what they've caused and seeing if Seokjin might have any influence on the body due to spells. Or, just to see if Seokjin being there with Taehyung would do something to the body. Even the slightest change would give them a bit of hope.
He could only hope Seokjin would keep his word, not spilling any details to Taehyung about their current circumstances. He knew how his partner was, how he felt, and how he thought about such things like these. And he admired the man for his honesty and the way he always tried to do what is right; but right now, he really needed to keep his mouth shut for at least some time.
Just for a little while, until they both know more information, until they both decide on what to do next. In case they really won't get any farther, and have absolutely zero options left, Namjoon would consider telling his cousin.
But for now, the two of them would have to try and fix this mess by themselves first. They created it, they needed to be able to solve it as well on their own, right? That is how Namjoon sees it, at least.
