Chapter 20

Third Person POV

As Takeshi released the young dark haired girl, she fell to the ground and gasped for air. The only sound besides her rugged breathing was that of her lover calling out to her.

"Isabelle!"

His yell was drowned out by Takeshi's evil laugh, he snapped his fingers causing his solders to split apart revealing the lifted platform in the middle of the room. The young girl beside him kept coughing as she tried to crawl towards her family.

"Where do you think your going?"

The evil leader bent down and grabbed ahold of Isabelle's black hair, lifting her off the ground and causing her to cry out in pain. She tried to claw at his arm as tears threatened to fall from her eyes.

"Takeshi stop this!"

Gideon yelled out as a solider forced him to follow after Takeshi, as he drug the young girl by her hair towards the platform. Once he reached his destination he threw her down.

"I have been waiting for this moment for 3,000 years. Nothing is going to stop me now."

The leader motioned for Karai to come forward with a gold amulet in one hand and a dark black chest in the other.  Isabelle was now on her knees, her blue eyes meeting everyone of her family members before resting on Leonardo's.

He was still trying to free himself from the grip of those holding him, his ocean colored irises locked on his girlfriends. Karai  reached down and forced Isabelle's face towards towards her.

"It looks like you are finally useful for something."

The Japanese woman said as she slipped the gold amulet around Isabelle's neck. As the young girl sat up on her knees the emerald stone began to glow, so did the black chest. Takeshi motioned his arm causing soldiers step out in front of the four brothers and in front of the of Casey, April, Kelly, and Liz.

"Open the chest."

Takeshi ordered.

"Don't do it Isabelle!"

Everyone one of her friends, her family called out to her. The soldiers pulled out their katanas and held the blades to the throats of her family.

"Open the chest or I will kill everyone of them."

Takeshi said in a evil tone causing Isabelle's eyes to go wide in fear. She slowly stood to her feet and made her way over to the chest where Karai had sat it down. She could could hear everyone calling out to her telling her not to do it, even Gideon's voice rose to her ears.

She couldn't hear them anymore though, her vision was flashing in her mind once again. She knew what she had to do. Quickly she slipped her short blade out of its sleeve and pressed the tip against her stomach.

"Let them go Takeshi."

Isabelle stated as she turned to look at him, her blade still pressed to her abdomen. Takeshi's eyes widened as he saw what she was about to do.

"Put the blade down Isabelle."

He pleaded with her.

"Let them go. NOW!"

To prove that she was serious she cut herself just enough to make some blood run down her uniform. Takeshi quickly motioned for his soldiers to let go of her family.

"Now put the blade down, please Isabelle."

He pleaded once more but she ignored him because another voice was going through her head.

"The only way to break the curse is to do what made the curse."  

Isabelle took in a deep breath for she finally understood what those words meant. She turned her head slightly so that her sapphire eyes meet Leonardo's ocean blue. A tear rolled down her cheek as she spoke to him.

"I'm sorry Leo."

Before anyone could react Isabelle stuck her blade deep into her own stomach.
