Hoseok had yoongi by his side at all times. Yoongi did go along with hoseok because duh!! it was his birthday! Yoongi wouldn't want to make him sad today, atleast! Hoseok was introducing yoongi to his friends. Yoongi did a little small talk with everyone but it was exhausting. He loved being by himself rather than constantly being surrounded by people.
Yoongi got away from the crowd and his eyes immediately fell on Jimin who was dancing with someone yoongi didn't know. He filled himself a glass and walked towards them.
Jimin could see him coming closer, he had his eyes fixed on the elder while dancing with the guy. Yoongi looked into his eyes too. They both kept staring at each other intensely. This was the point where jimin thought maybe this was working. He decided to stick closer to the guy and continue dancing while eyes on yoongi.
The guy dancing with jimin had noticed that there was something going on with those two. Yoongi's eyes shifted on the guy. One gaze and he was out of there. He decided to move away from there after yoongi looking at him like that. Jimin stopped dancing, not bothering about the guy who left. His eyes still fixed on yoongi. - so that was the kid huh? Yoongi smirked. - why do you care? Jimin asked. - why did he run away like that. Yoongi laughs. - your face is scary enough. Jimin teased.
- do you wanna dance? Yoongi offered his left hand. - uhm...what? Jimin was confused by this sudden gesture of yoongi. - dance with me? Come on! Yoongi smiled shrugging his shoulders. - you know I'm a dancer right? Jimin raised his eyebrow while giving his hand to Yoongi. - yeah, I'd like to see that. Yoongi grabs and pulls him in for a dance. Jimin chuckled softly as he felt a sudden jerk when yoongi pulled him closer.
Yoongi smoothly places his hand over jimin's tiny waist while Jimin holds Yoongi by his neck. They moved their bodies on the beats. Jimin was so shy to even look at yoongi. He kept looking at the floor everytime their faces were close.
Jimin didn't believe he was actually dancing with Yoongi. He felt so jittery. Yoongi's hand on his waist made him feel things. He so wanted to look into the elder's eyes, he managed to look at him for a split second only to realise the elder was already looking right back at him.
They made an eye contact, but this time Yoongi flinched. He knew if he looked at Jimin for even a second, he'd kiss.
Yoongi stopped dancing. - uh..I..um I think I'll go check on hoba. Yoongi left Jimin there. Jimin didn't say anything, he couldn't. He just thought to himself, 'what was that?' 'why did it feel so good to be so close to him?'
Namjoon had seen them dance together closely. He went towards Jimin. - hey. Namjoon grinned. - uh hi? Jimin said confused. Do I know you? - you're Jimin right?I'm Namjoon. Yoongi hyung's roomate/colleague/only friend. - ohh! Hello, nice to meet you! Jimin smiled instantly while greeting him. - I saw y'all do your lil thing here. Cute. Namjoon said sipping his wine. - Jimin chuckles. Uh oh, yeah like I didn't expect him to dance with me. - he probably gay panicked and left. Namjoon laughed Jimin too let out an awkward laugh. You like him, don't ya? Namjoon asked suddenly.
Jimin's heart skipped a beat, he felt like he was caught off-guard. He swallowed hard, his jaw gaping slightly. - uhh..uh...w..what? Uh.. He tried to act all innocent. - ofcourse you doooo, look at the panic you just had. Namjoon laughs harder. Y'all should just confess instead of playing hard to get. I mean come on, y'all totally are into eachother.
- Wait. What do you mean? h..hee, um, hyung..likes me? Jimin was curious. - well he never said that but like it's soOoo obvioOuss. - yeah no I don't think so. You'll know when you'll see him around hobi hyung. He really likes him, and hobi hyung does too. I don't wanna get in their way. Jimin presses his lips into a thin line, looking at the floor. - Listen, you're not getting in anybody's way! Just atleast confess to him, you're only going to feel better after. Namjoon suggests, with a firm tap on his back. - hey thanks, but I'll pass on this idea. I hope you enjoy. Jimin leaves from there being a bit sad.
Jimin took a few more shots and went next to taehyung who was busy taking videos of the party. He had captured a cute video of yoongi and hoseok giggling with eachother. - Jimin-ah, look, isn't this cute? Jimin furrowed his eyebrows and the moment he knew it was them, he didn't feel so good. He faked smiled at taehyung.
Taehyung had captured Jimin and yoongi dancing too but before he could show it to Jimin, he was already leaving. - uh, tae uh I'll just be right back. I think I need some fresh air. - oh uh sure, do you want me to come with you? Taehyung asked worried. - oh no, I'll be fine.
Jimin heads out of the apartment and takes a walk in the lawn. He was tipsy. He was walking and he suddenly tripped and fell but instead of getting up he lied down there.
The lawn grass reminded him of Jungkook, it reminded him of the moment they had that day. He would have given in if anything was about to happen that day. Why was it that today, he backed off? When Jungkook tried to kiss him.
He kept thinking to himself. Ofcourse jungkook was vulnerable! but that was not it. He obviously has this huugeeee crush on Yoongi that stopped him. He felt it for the first time, having a crush on someone thissss baaaddd can ruin things sometimes. Like why couldn't he have someone in his life for once.
Yoongi had a glimpse of him lying down in lawn from the window of hoseok's room, he wanted to go down and check on him but hoseok had made him play a game with his friends and getting up in the middle of the game wouldn't look so nice, so he stayed, waiting for the game to be over.
Jimin took his phone out and dialed jungkook's number.
He wanted to say sorry for reacting that way. He wanted to tell Jungkook that maybe they should have kissed. He wanted to tell him that when he comes back, they could talk about it.
The phone kept ringing, but Jungkook wouldn't pick up the call.
Jimin wanted to cry the hell out at this point. He didn't understand what was going on with his life. He headed back to the apartment where he went straight to get himself whiskey. He was already drinking earlier and now he chugged down a whole bottle little by little to the point where he was absolutely drunk.
Hoseok and Yoongi were done playing games and now were heading towards the swimming pool.
Hoseok went ahead whereas Yoongi was getting them some drinks. He scanned around the room to find Jimin, the last he had seen him was in the lawn, he tried to look for him through windows but couldn't find him.
Hoseok who was headed towards the pool spotted Jimin.
