When we get to the game, we find Elizabeth in the bottom seats of the bleachers. She saved seats for us- the best possible seats, actually. We're so close to the pitch. In fact, I could probably reach forward and touch the white line. This is also a dangerous spot. There is always a rick of getting smacked in the head by a football. But yeah, it's worth it to be this close.

In about fifteen minutes, the pep rally will start. I'm excited.

I'm sitting in between Elizabeth and Rachel. I turn to my right, saying to Elizabeth, "So, did Mbappe drive you here?"

She grins, blush sprinkling her nose and cheeks. She really is a very cute girl. "Yeah, he did. It was amazing."

"It wasn't, like, awkward?"

"Nah, not at all! It was just amazing, Sage. Just amazing." There's a dreamy look in her eyes, and I wonder if I get that look in my eyes when I think about Griezmann.

"What did you guys even talk about, though?"

"Oh, you know. He was just telling me about, you know, his friends and stuff. His fellow footballers."

I grin and nod. Now I'm wondering what he said about Griezmann. I turn to Rachel and say quietly, "Did you tell Tori and Elizabeth who I like?"

"No, you said not to tell anyone."

"Thanks, for not telling. I'm going to tell them."

She smiles at me for some reason, and says simply, "Alright, girl."

I turn to Elizabeth. "Have I told you who I like?"

She leans in, looking interested for the juicy news. "No?"

"Well, I also like Griezmann, just like Rach."

She chuckles. "Jeez, I just don't see the appeal about him. He's not even handsome or anything, and all he does is take weird selfies of himself and put them on his story. He thinks he's so hot, but he's not, at all."

"You don't know what you're talking about..." I think a few seconds, before exclaiming, "Wait, you have his Snap?!"

"Yeah, I've had it for years. Found him on Quick Add and just decided why not. Thinking about blocking him, though. You really don't want his Snap, Sage, trust me. He always posts selfies, I'm not kidding. It drives me insane."

"Eliza, I totally want it."

"'Kay, if you say so..." She logs into her phone and hands it to me. "You find it and add him. I could care less. I just care about Mbappe."

"Yeah," I roll my eyes. "I'm sure you do."

Then, the pep rally starts, after all the bleachers are filled up. Some people are even sitting on the grass next to the bleachers, there are so many people. It's awesome.

To start, a bunch of students come out and lead the crowd in the song "We Will Rock You" by Queen. Then the band comes out, marching all across the pitch, playing our school song. The audience sings along, and by now, I know all the lyrics to this song, and even though I can't sing for the life of me, I still do, because I'm just having fun.

Then, the principal comes out onto the middle of the pitch, saying with a broad smile on her face, "Today, as many of you know, is our school's homecoming, when he welcome back old graduates and celebrate the current students we have! It's also the first home football game of the season, and we're all here tonight to cheer on our boys! First, we'll get ready for that game with a few groups in our school, including our cheer leading squad, the gymnastics club, some students from the drama club, some competitions and skits in which the audience will be able to come out onto the pitch and participate, and the dance troop!"
