The next day back to school, in the new year, January 2, I don't think I hear a thing that any of the teachers say- I am so out of it, after not having school for so long. I guess I'll have to get used to the hell of ordinary school again.

I end up at the end of the day getting to the Health class pretty early. There are only two other people in the room, besides me. And I'm surprised when I watch Griezmann walk through the door. Usually he just slips in, right before the bell rings. So this is strange for him to get here so early.

I'm surprised as he walks right up to me, looking at me with those bright blue, blazing eyes of his. It feels like they're burning cold fire into my heart. And my heart skips a beat.

I clear my throat before saying extremely awkwardly, "Yes?" I don't think I've had a normal conversation with him for, what? A month and a half? Two months?

He seems to be taking me in, how I look, how I'm sitting. It almost feels like he's looking into my mind. I don't like the way he's looking at me, because I can tell he's thinking a lot. But I just can't tell what he actually is thinking. "Uh, Sage..." He begins, then stops.

"Yes?" I say again. Just spit it out, boy!

"I was wondering... Are you busy after school today?"

I stare at him, trying to keep my eyes from widened. What on earth could he have to do with me after school? What on earth is going on in his head? Finally I say, "No, I've got nothing going on... Why?"

"Well, I was wondering if we could... If I could bring you... someplace."

"Where?"

"Just a... place. I have to talk with you about some things, if you would. I could meet you by your locker after class?"

I nod, a pit forming in my stomach. What does he want to talk about? Oh, Lord, what does he want to discuss?

He nods, then turns, sitting back down in his desk. His eyebrows were furrowed throughout our whole talk, and he kept running his hand through his hair, which is growing in blond at the roots. So he must have naturally blond hair, apparently?

I would've have been able to listen in Health class even without our small exchange, but now I can't think even more. I can only think about him, and stare at the back of his head.

When the bell rings, I walk out of the classroom, still feeling out of it, but for another reason. I open my locker and drop my books in my bag. I sling the bag over my shoulder, shut the locker, and lean against it, waiting for him to come as he said he would.

He finally does, and he says, hardly looking at me, "Come with me, Sage."

I nod, following him, having no idea what he's planning. We walk outside, and start going behind the school building. Now I'm starting to get worried. "Uh, Griezmann, what are we doing...?"

"Don't worry. We're just going somewhere. I need to talk with you, but there's someplace I want to bring you." He sounds very casual about all of it, which kind of reassures me a bit.

We keep walking, into the woods behind the school. He brings me to a spot next to a creek, where there is a huge rock next to the water, a bed of moss on it. I sits down on it, patting the spot next to him. "Sit down."

I stare at him, not knowing what to think, but obey, and sit next to him, being mindful to keep my distance, still not sure what he thinks of me. "So, you need to talk with me?"

"Yeah, about Rachel. You heard everything about how she broke up with me, right?"

"Yeah, Neymar told me."
