Is this all part of the process?
Waiting and waiting
Until the inevitable heartache?
Or by some cliche happenstance
A union will be formed?
How can two humans obtain it?
A mutual agreement
Or a force pulling them together?
Have I been led wrong
By others in how relationships
Are formed and maintained?
Is there a way for me
To reprogram myself,
So when the time has come,
I will no longer be lonely
And find someone to be
My companion,
Partner,
Lover,
All in one?
