I truly thought this time would be different.
I thought I was beginning to fall,
Only to be stood upright.
I would have loved
To give you everything there is of me,
To learn about you and myself,
To be one, while staying
Two;
Maybe we’ll never experience that.
Maybe I was too naive
To believe I deserved love
From a mortal boy.
Somehow I still find myself
Praying for you in the end.
